2. I was mesmerized. I think this production is particularly for adults – the costumes, the humor … Byl jsem uchvácena. Myslím, že je t a to pro dukce určena zvláště dospěl ým -...

4. But there were 2 little girls, both under age 5, sitting near me. They were mesmerized, too. Ale vedle mě seděly i 2 malé dívky, oběma bylo m éně než 5 let . Byly také fascinovány.

6. The elderly ladies sitting in front of me were saying, “Ježišmarie” (a mild Czech oath), reacting especially to the costumes … Postarší dámy , které sed ěly přede mnou , volaly , "Jež i š marjá ” . R eag ovaly tak hlavně na kostýmy .. .

9. It's not the traditional Cinderella, with traditional, long ballet costumes. Není to klasická Popelka, s tradičnímy dlouhými baletními kostýmy.

11. But it was also appealing, showing humor, repulsion ... a lot of emotion, feeling, and a lot of acting and pantomime. Ale bylo to také p řitážlivé , plné humor u , ale i odp udivosti ... V příběhu se promítalo hodně emocí, pocitů, a mnoho herectví a pantomimy.

27. This was an international production. Did it feel that way to you, as a Czech? Or was it 'Czech'? Byla to mezinárodní produkce. Působilo to na Vás tak? Nebo to bylo české?

29. It felt 'international' to me. The costumes, the set, the acting techniques –

30. 'it came from somewhere else.' That's the feeling, for me. Působilo to na mě 'mezinárodn ě '. Kostýmy, scéna , herectví - ' pocházelo to odněkud jinud .' To je můj pocit.

32. I was surprised that there was so much humor, and right from the beginning. Byla jsem překvapena, tam byl o hned od začátku tolik humoru .

34. I started chuckling right away, but nobody else did. Eventually people caught on that it was OK to laugh or applaud. Začala jsem se okamžitě smát , ale n ikdo jiný se nesmál. Nakonec lidi pochopili, že je v pořádku se smát nebo tleskat.

36. That's the most intimidating thing about the theatre – people want to show their enthusiasm but they're afraid to make any 'noise.' To je velice divná věc v divadle - lidé chtějí ukázat své nadšení, ale bojí, aby nedělali 'hluk.'

38. Absolutely.

39. It's that 'sh-h-h' – respect. Ano. To známé “pššššššššššt !!!” Respekt.

41. You had the opportunity to see a final rehearsal. Did it start and stop a lot? Vy jste měla možnost vidět generálku . M uselo se často představení zastavovat a začínat znovu?

43. There was only one moment at the beginning when the father didn't enter on time. They started over, and from then on it was wonderful. Na začátku tam byl jenom jeden moment , kdy otec ne nas toupil včas. Začali tedy znovu a potom to bylo báječné.

45. After the rehearsal, conductor David Švec gave some instructions. Then he came onto the stage and 'air-conducted' to show the audience who he was! Po zkoušce dal dirigent David Švec nějaké instrukce, a pak přišel na jeviště a ukázal se divákům!

47. I guess people aren't used to a live orchestra, which I couldn't even see down in their 'pit.' Myslím, že lidé nejsou zvyklí na živý orchestr, který jsem ani nemohla ve s n íženém přízemí vidět .

49. There were many curtain calls at the end. It makes me happy to see how happy the dancers are then. It's a nice moment. Na konci byl soubor několikrát vyvolán před oponu . Potěšilo mě, jak moc štastní jsou tanečníci. To je moc hezký moment.

51. Maybe 'gratifying' is the word! Možná 'potěšená' je to správné slovo!
