Cyber bullying is a form of bullying that uses electronic means to harass or bully others, especially among teenagers on social media. There are different types of cyber bullying such as harassment through abusive messages, creating fake profiles, trickery to damage someone's reputation, and exclusion. The causes of cyber bullying include seeking revenge, believing the victim deserves it, alleviating boredom, giving in to peer pressure, and thinking they won't get caught. The effects of cyber bullying are low self-esteem, social withdrawal, school refusal, changes in appearance or personality, and losing weight. Philippine laws against cyber bullying include the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013, the Revised Penal Code, and the Cybercrime Prevention Act
