This document outlines the course requirements and schedule for an online Master of Social Work (MSW) program in Community & Leadership Practice over three years.
In the first year students take required courses in social work history and policy, human development, research and evaluation, and social justice. They also begin 6 credits of electives.
The second year includes required skills courses for working with individuals, groups, and advocacy. Students complete 12 credits of field placement and continue electives.
The third year has required advanced practice courses and a portfolio capstone. Another 12 credits of field placement are completed, wrapping up the degree requirements. Electives can be taken during the summers.
