The study investigated the design optimization of these hybrid systems, focusing on understanding solar radiation patterns, identifying geographical influences on solar radiation, formulating a mathematical model for system optimization, and determining the optimal configuration of PV panels and pumped hydro storage. Through a comparative analysis approach and eight weeks of data collection, the study addressed key research questions related to solar radiation patterns and optimal system design. The findings highlighted regions with heightened solar radiation levels, showcasing substantial potential for power generation and emphasizing the system's efficiency. Optimizing system design significantly boosted power generation, promoted renewable energy utilization, and enhanced energy storage capacity. The study underscored the benefits of optimizing hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems for sustainable energy usage. Optimizing the design of solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems as examined across diverse climatic conditions in a developing country, not only enhances power generation but also improves the integration of renewable energy sources and boosts energy storage capacities, particularly beneficial for less economically prosperous regions. Additionally, the study provides valuable insights for advancing energy research in economically viable areas. Recommendations included conducting site-specific assessments, utilizing advanced modeling tools, implementing regular maintenance protocols, and enhancing communication among system components.
Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

Это некий тренд, об этом сейчас говорят все. Основная причина следующая. Большие компании заметили как маленькие подвижные стартапы захватывают их рынки. Они тоже захотели так же быстро и ловко реагировать на изменения, так же часто делать релизы. Поэтому они захотели, чтобы все их команды работали по скраму в рамках одного продукта. Jeff: You always want to maximize the feature teams. You always want to have cross-functional teams and have every capability on the team that’s needed to get to a ‘done’ state. One of the most interesting models today in scaling is Spotify because they elegantly did what I try to do at GE Healthcare. And what they’ve done is they have almost all features-driven teams. They do have some component teams, but almost all features-driven teams and all features-driven teams have a visible piece of the Spotify user interface. And every team can upgrade their piece of the product, every sprint, without disrupting any other piece of the product. And so, by making things visible for every team, and really managing the architecture and the dependencies properly, it gives them a very powerful way to implement a really cool product. And they really have to be fast and they really have to be Agile because their competitors are Amazon, Google and Apple. And any one of them will crush them if they don’t run fast enough. Google, Apple and Amazon are like a big tsunami, all coming at them at once and they have to run fast enough so that the wave doesn’t crash on them. Basically, they use Agile globally to do it. So I’d recommend that your people really study the way Spotify has done this.

В проведении изменений был заинтересован только киевский офис Леви9, но с остальными локациями, и что самое грустное, со стороны кастомера, сильно проактивного подхода замечено не было. Exact не использует релиз трейн, а старается деплоить как можно чаще, как только есть билд, на котором прошли успешно все тесты.
Exact использует XLDeploy инструмент для деплоя.
Теоретически, все должно происходить автоматически, но в реальности им надо деплоить в разные датацентры в разных странах, иногда подкручивают руками.
Но процесс кратко такой - на релизной ветке периодически (несколько раз в день) запускается интегрейшон тестирование, регрессионное тестирование юай тестов. Если все тесты проходят успешно, то формируется артифакт (zip архив), который потенциально может быть шипебл (деплойебл).
При решении ответственных сотрудников, что будет деплой - этот артифакт разворачивается на окружениях в разных датацентрах, в артефакте содержатся как файлы системы, так и необходимые инструменты для изменений баз данных, и.т.д. Описание процесса разворачивания находится в инструменте XLDeploy и должно происходить автоматически, но в реальности иногда что-то подкручивают руками.
В случае успешного релиза - отмечается какой артефакт сейчас на продакшене.
В идеале - релиз может быть несколько раз в день, реально же было максимум несколько раз в неделю.

To promote learning and innovation, each squad is encouraged to spend roughly 10% of their time on “hack days”. During hack days people do whatever they want, typically trying out new ideas and sharing with their buddies. Some teams do 1 hack day every second week, others save up for a whole “hack week”. Hack days are not only fun, they are also a great way to stay up-to-date with new tools and techniques and sometimes lead to important product innovations!

Ideally each squad is fully autonomous with direct contact with their stakeholders, and no blocking dependencies to other squads. Basically a mini-startup. With over 30 teams, that is a challenge! We have come a long way, but there are still plenty of improvements to be made.
Survey to measure team's autonomy
To aid in this, we run a quarterly survey with each squad. This helps focus our improvement efforts and find out what kind of organizational support is needed. Here’s a visual summary of one such survey, showing 5 squads within a tribe:
The circles show the current state, arrows show the trend. For example we can see a pattern where three squads reports problems around releasing and that it does not seem to improve - this area needs urgent focus! We also see that squad 4 does not have a great situation with agile coach support, but that it is already improving.
