A bill in the Ohio Senate, SB 257, would have a "substantial effect" on determining whether or not you have a good title in a real property transaction. The changes being proposed under SB 257 expand the scope of what kinds of "defects" in a title that can be "cured," and reduces the amount of time a title can be contested from 21 years down to 4 years.
