This document discusses the teachings of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam regarding the objectives and purpose of life. What isthe value of life if we donotknow the purpose of that life?

God istestingusin our shortlife onearth;the wealthyfatherhasthe rightto test hischildrenbefore
distributingthe wealth.
Testingmissionsare notsupposedtobe easyandcomfortable.
The test questionsare notsupposedtobe knowninadvance.
Our life onearthisa veryshortperiodcomparedtothe universe time scale;itcouldbe atemporary
testingperiod.
AlthoughGodknowswhat’sinour heartsand whateach of us mightdo,he testsusand wantedusto
witnessourowntestresultsinorderto admitthat we have beenfairlyrewardedaccordingtoour
achievementsasrecordedinthe testresults

2. The wise fatherdisciplineshischildrenandpreparesthemforabetterlife
Before the wealthyfatherdistributeshiswealth,he maywanttorecord whichsonis obedient,the
recordsare not forthe fatherwhoknows,butas a testimonyforpeople whomightquestionthe justice
of theirfather
Althoughthe wise teacherknowsthe hard-workingstudentandthe lazystudent,he preparesregular
examsas testimoniessothatthe studentswouldnotsaythatthe teacher hadfavoredsome students
overthe others.Examsalsourge studentstogetpreparedinorderto succeed
Studentsshouldnotwonderaboutthe intentionof the teacher;theyare supposedtofocusonwhatthe
teacheraskedthemto do
Those whoignore life’s objectiveswill regretitwhentheysee the recordsof theirdeeds;theywould
wishto come back to thislife inordertoobey,to feedthe hungryandto helpthe poor
Accordingto the teachingsof differentreligions,ourlife onearthisonlyatemporarytestingperiod.We
are notsupposedtorelax andenjoyourselvesduringtestperiods,we shouldnotexpectthatthe test
questionsare clearlyknowninadvance,we shouldexpectdifficultiesduringthe test,andwe will be
rewardedaccordingtoour faith,our obedience,ourcompassion,andourgood deeds
If we reviewthe teachingsof JudaismlikeExodus20:20, Deuteronomy8:2,Deuteronomy13:3,we find
that God testspeople toknowwhoobeysandwhodoesnotobey
Accordingto the teachingsof Moses,people are testedandthose whoobeyGodwill be blessed,while
those whorepel will be cursed
I may testthem,whethertheywillwalkinMylaw or not ("Exodus"Exodus16:4)
In Exodus20:20, Mosestaught that God testspeople sothatthe fearof God will be withthemtokeep

Jesustaughtthat all of this life isatest;he taughtthat we are ina temporarytestingperiodandwe are
beingpreparedfora permanentlife.He alsotaughtthatthe rewardswill be accordingtoour obedience
and our goodworks
Talkinginparables,JesustaughtthatGod testsusby tribulation,temptation,trials,persecutionand
promisedrewardsinheavenforthose whopassthe testsof persecution,temptation,trials,and
tribulations
Jesushastaught people tostandupfor the truth evenif persecutedbythe badmultitudeswhohate the
truth.He taught that andalsodemonstrateditwhenhe stoodupfor the truth againstthe bad chief
priestswhoexplainedreligiontotheirbenefits
Blessedare those whoare persecutedbecause of righteousness,fortheirsisthe kingdomof heaven -
Matthew5:10
God has setthe worldstage for testing;everydaywe meethungryandpoor;some will helpandsome
will refuse tohelp;those are notequallyrewarded

are rewardsforforgivenessandfordoinggoodworks
There ismuch more scripture to confirmthatthe objective of thistemporarystage of life onearthis
testingandthat the rewardsinthe eternal lifedependonthe resultsof thattesting
Jesustaughtthat there will be testingandsome willfall awayintime of temptationaswritteninLuke
8:13 andMark 4:17
Those on the rocky soil are those who,whentheyhear,receive the wordwithjoy;andthese have no
firmroot; theybelieve forawhile,andintime of temptationfall away.
Matthew13:21 confirmsthe same message
But since theyhave noroot, theylastonlya short time.Whentrouble orpersecutioncomesbecause of
the word,theyquicklyfall away

6. That is notjustfor Jesus,buthe taught that we shouldnothave treasuresonearthbut to seekthe real
treasures;the eternal lifeinheaven

If you are a Muslim,youwill alsofindsimilarteachingsinQuranverses
Whenwe analyze the versesof Quran,we findthatit isthe same message revealedbythe same God,
we alsofindinQuran that life isa testingperiodandthatpeople will be rewardedaccordingtotheir
obedience andaccordingtotheirgooddeeds
Qur’anverse 47:31 clarifiesthatwe are here fortesting
AndWe will surelytestyouuntil We make evidentthose whostriveamongyou[forthe cause of God]
and the patient,andWe will testyouraffairs
Verse 29:2-3 confirmsthatwe are here fortesting
Do the people thinkthattheywill be lefttosay,"We believe"andtheywillnotbe tried?
But We have certainlytriedthose before them, andGodwill surelymake evidentthosewhoare truthful,
and He will surelymake evidentthe liars.

Verse 5:71 teaches thatthose whoignore thatthe objectivesof life istestingare blindanddeaf
Theythoughtthere wouldbe notrial (or punishment);sotheybecame blindanddeaf:yetGod(in
mercy) turnedto them:yetagainmanyof thembecame blindanddeaf.ButGod seeswell all thatthey
do
3:179 teachesthatGod distinguishesthe wickedfromthe good,peopleare notsupposedtoknow
everythingtopassthattest,but theyare askedto follow the Prophets
God will notleave the believersinthe state inwhichyouare now,until He distinguishesthe wickedfrom
the good.Nor will Goddisclose toyouthe secretsof the unseen,butGod choosesof HisMessengers

Whenthe religionteachersignore thatfact,theycannotprovide logical answertothe mostimportant
people’squestion‘whywe are here?’

9. If the Jewishscholarsignore thatthe objective of lifeistestingandteachthatthe Jewsare the chosen
people of Godand theyare promisedthe blessingsbecause of the faithof theirfatherAbraham, then
people wouldrejectsuchanswersbecause the scripture teachesthatGodisnot biasedandthat every
personwill be judgedaccordingtotheirdeeds; notaccordingtotheirfather’sfaith
If the Christianscholarsignore thatthe objectiveof life isatestingperiodandteachthatthe objective is
to accept Jesusasa saviorbecause we are bornsinnersandwe cannot earnour salvationbygood
works, people will refertothe teachingsof Jesushimself whotaughtthatlife isfortestingandthat
people canearntheirsalvationbyobedience andbygoodworks
If the Muslimscholarsignore thatthe objective of lifeisatestingenvironmentandteachthatthe
objective of lifeistoworshipGod,people wouldreplythatGoddoesnotneedourprayers
Whenscientistsandphilosophersignore the factthatour life onearthisonlya temporarytestingand
preparationperiod,theycannotprovidelogical answer tothe mostimportantquestion‘whyare we
here?
