2. As specialists in corporate resilience, ORRS has
designed an interactive quality management system,
Nexus Organisational Resilience Management System
(NORMS).
‘Nexus’ refers to linking a series of connections
together; a perfect way to describe NORMS, as it a
system designed to integrate people, processes and
technology, to deliver quality, regulatory compliance
and resilience, whilst managing and mitigating risk.
At ORRS, our consultants (most of whom have Master
Degrees in Business Continuity, Emergency Management
and Security) are committed to working with you to
implement quality controls over products and services
to ensure consistency; make planning processes more
effective and efficient through consistency; improve
profitability and customer service.
If you are looking to implement a resilient management
system, NORMS can be tailored and adapted to meet
your specific company needs, whilst adhering to the
relevant regulatory bodies associated with your sector.
We start by completing a full gap analysis, which
is a thorough review of all company practice and
procedures. Utilising the NORMS platform, we will work
with you to create resilience in your organization by
anticipating business changes, helping you to priortise
and prepare for those changes and respond positively
to them. NORMS will help you manage best practice,
improve efficiency, keep employees motivated and,
in doing so, increase your profits.
Not only will we provide training on NORMS, we also
provide internal audit training too, so that companies
have both the confidence and competence in
conducting their own internal audits.
We work with IQ Verify, BSI and MSS Global, all of whom
are international certification bodies approved by UKAS
(UK Accreditation Service) and will undertake audits and
issue certification. Our sister company TTC, is a training
consultancy that provide both internal and lead auditor
training courses.
Key Features:
• On going training managed
• Automated induction and training for all employees
• E-learning modules
• Allows employees ownership of training objectives
• Track appraisal actions and follow up
• Alerts and training requirements of each employee
‘Lets you know Who? What?
How? When?’
Induction, training, and appraisals
The induction, training and appraisal module
enables each individual in the organisation to
manage their own development programme;
providing verification and evidence that they
fully understand how the training applies to their
role. An integrated e-learning tool allows the
organisation to test their employees on new
procedures and training requirements. A full
development history for each individual along
with all supporting evidence can be tracked and
managed using NORMS.
Full induction package with pre-configured
e-learning
The module comes fully configured with the
base requirements for a new employee entering
the organisation. To ensure that they fully
understand their induction programme there
are a set of e-learning modules with supporting
documentation included.
Plan personal development training and alert
on compliance issues
Personal development actions can easily be
tracked and alerts are sent when training
deadlines approach. There is a full escalation
procedure within the module to ensure that any
compliance issues due to training not being
performed are alerted to the necessary people
and departments.
Track appraisal and supervision objectives
The module allows users to add their appraisal
actions and have them tracked and upload
to provide evidence to prove completion. This
ensures that a full development programme for
the individual can be easily maintained and
accessed.

3. Quality Audits & ISO international standards
management
The standards and audit module allows organisations
to rapidly assess and manage performance against
internal quality measures and regulatory ISO
International Standards. The automated action plan
and workflow management system will help drive
performance to the highest rating.
Track business compliance tasks
Each task or event is assigned to the relevant owner
and tracked from creation to completion. Attach
the required forms to be completed and ensure the
completed forms are then updated and stored against
the tasks to ensure full document management and
history for the task or asset. Each task has a due date
and relevant alerts are sent to ensure they are not
missed with integrated escalation procedures.
Upload and maintain certifications
The business compliance module can be used
as a document management system for all your
organisations certifications. Quickly and easily access
the certifications and ensure that any re-certifications
are not missed.
Plan and manage audits
Every business should have an internal audit program to
ensure the policies and procedures are being correctly
followed. These audits may be performed over many
locations, by many people and can be hard to manage
and maintain. Using the business compliance module
the audit manager will always have a real time, holistic
view of the progress of all the internal audits.
External audits can also be programmed into the
module so everyone impacted by these audits are fully
informed of when they will take place and can therefore
plan accordingly.
Key Features:
• Ability to create, schedule and monitor internal
audits and management reviews
• Perform audits in user friendly iPad and Android
tablets apps
• Real time KPI and dashboard reporting against
compliance and regulated standards
• Automated action plans, allocation and tracking
• Full evidence compilation including photos and
ability to upload documents
• Historical trend analysis
• All business and regulatory policies, procedures
and documentation are visible and accessible
to all relevant personnel.
• Intelligently monitors performance against
regulated standards and helps to ensure
regulatory compliance.
• Automated workflows and action tracking to
ensure business and regulatory outcomes are
met.
• Effectively integrates incident reporting and risk
management.
• Manages induction and training requirements,
including staff appraisals
• Visual management dashboards for both
desktop and mobile devices.
‘Offers real time performance against
regulated and internal standards’
Recently launched, NORMS is already having
a huge impact on the companies that have
implemented it and was recently described by
IQ Verify as ‘an efficient and effective system,
which will ensure organisations are consistently
working to ISO standards’.
Working across the globe, our principal
consultants, Lee Hibbert and John Butterfield
have recently worked with companies in
Afghanistan, South Sudan and Dubai helping
them to gain PSC-1/ISO 18988 certification.
Lee is also keynote speaker at Secure Asia 2015.

4. Full incident management to closure
Every report type has a defined workflow that
must be followed by the assigned manager to
ensure full compliance with operating procedures
and ensuring that regulatory requirements
are met. Each incident is risk assessed by the
originator and checked by their line manager
ensuring any mitigating actions have been
performed and logged. The risk score defines
what following course of action is required and
by when. If actions are not completed by set
time-scales, alerts are sent to the relevant people
in the organisation.
‘Dynamic alerts and
emails to keep up to
date with issues and
progress’
Integrated Incident and risk management
The NORMS incident and risk management module
enables an organisation to effectively manage
adverse events and near misses. The module
enables anyone within your organization, and
independent contractors, to report a variety of
events and risks ensuring that rates of reporting
and ownership are correctly managed through
to closure.
Simple and intuitive solution
The on-line reporting system ensures that all types
of incident reporting are covered. The user-friendly
interface allows users to quickly raise incidents using
drop down lists, calendar entries and the ability to
quickly mark sections not applicable.
The module is fully integrated with corporate
and departmental risk registers. Any report can
easily be added to the risk registers to ensure
full risk management is covered throughout the
organisation. Reporting tools are included ensuring
that early capture and action of new trends is
possible.
