enables one to take direct examinations in Class 10th offered one has a basic fundamental education or class 12th delivered they

Class 12th can fill up the form via online on or rather than the last date for registration.
Educational Qualifications necessary for enrolling in the Open schooling system
For NIOS online 10th admission 2019 - 2020:
For taking admission in class 10th the candidates are required to have a verified certificate of having qualified class 8th.
Verification requires to be signed by a gazetted officer.
Students should have 14 years old by July 2019.
For taking admission to Class 12th, candidates should have passed the secondary exam, i.e., standard 10th examination.
Aspirants must have to be 15 years old by 31st July 2019.
Open Basic Education courses
NIOS has setup own Open Basic Education courses in continuing with the essence of Education for All. The program is separated
into the following groups, based on age dissimilarities:
Those with age less than 14 years
Those with age above 14 years
The Open Basic Education program has divided into three levels. Level 1 corresponds to Class 1-3. Level 2 corresponds to Class
4-5. Level 3 corresponds to Class 6-8.
For Class 10th and Class 12th, NIOS conducts the exam two times a year, once around April/May and then so far again in
October/November.
NIOS has four distinct streams to gain entry of online admissions. Stream 1 is common for all students. Block 1 admissions occur
just between March to July, Block II admissions occur from September to January.
