To whom it may concern:-
I have played golf since I was 8 years old and have been part of the three year talent improvement
project of Dansk Golf Union (DGU). I have played golf at elite level since I was 14 years old and
during the last 3-4 years I have been part of the best team of Golf Team Storebælt in the Elite
Division and First Division.
Earlier, I have worked with the mental part of golfing through DGU, also with a coach, however,
without it resulting in the expected achievements. I started to work with Niels 2 years ago, and it
has certainly made me move forward and given me tools to become a better player. What
especially has been good in our working relationship is that Niels both possesses the psychological
knowledge of the sport as he can coach, as well as the fact that he himself also has been an elite
golfer at high level.
Niels is a very positive human being who has a deep understanding of the human mind which
always makes one feel safe in his presence. It has helped me in a way that, when explaining a
problem to Niels, he knows exactly what I mean as he himself also has been in a similar situation
and therefore knows what is expected of oneself. He has been very good at knowing precisely how
I feel in a given situation and to spot what I need to work on to become better. It has resulted in
me becoming more reassured in stressed situations as I have been given tools to manage the
mental barriers that occur in the presence of spectators and the pressure rises on my
performance.
