Miranda discovers that she has a terminal genetic disease after fainting during a ballet lesson. While in the hospital, she sees another girl who looks identical to her named Ten. No one believes Miranda's claims except for her best friend Emma. Miranda later finds Ten again and Ten tells her that she was "made" for Miranda. Miranda's parents and doctors eventually confess that Ten is a clone created using Miranda's DNA as an insurance policy to donate organs to Miranda if needed. The doctors cloned Ten using the DNA of Miranda's deceased sister Jessica.

The doctors all tell her it’s all a dream and only her best friend, Emma believes her. But when Miranda found Ten again, she keeps talking about she being “made” for Miranda. At last, her parents and the doctors confess the secret about Ten being a clone for Miranda, as her insurance policy, donating spare parts for Miranda. The doctors made the clone with the DNA of Miranda’s sister, Jessica, who died because of a brain tumor. But Miranda just got sick.
