The newsletter provides information on the World Institute for Nuclear Security (WINS) including:
1) WINS had 3,104 members from 114 countries who participated in 65 international workshops and the online Academy program.
2) Upcoming WINS workshops in 2016 on nuclear security, radioactive sources, and vulnerability assessments.
3) A survey is requested of members to provide feedback to help WINS improve and plan future activities before January 31, 2016.

Too many incidents related to “ransomware” in North East of Italy. Companies needs to understand how to protect themselves and ensure continued access to the digital data. The damage of a cyber incidents exceed the threshold of US $ 25mil. Safe rating of Intangible Assets of a company need enhancement of the cyber risks insurance market. But a weak competence require clarification on this topic. The research intent was to identify the real risks and digital vulnerabilities in companies. We have done an evaluation of typical insurance products on IT risk and we have made a CIO/CISO Survey. The final scope was a guideline for approacing the problem of outsourcing Cyber Risk Protection.

100TH WINS ACADEMY GRADUATE
In December 2015, the WINS Academy celebrated its
100th graduate, an important milestone in the
development of the first online certification programme in
the world for nuclear security management. Upon
receiving his certification from WINS as a Certified Nuclear
Security Professional (CNSP) with Specialisation in Science
and Engineering for Nuclear Security, Mr. Marcelo
Fernandez Bados, IT Security officer at INVAP in Argentina
expressed: "The Certification Program helped to expand
my knowledge on Nuclear Security and to use it in my
work. I work in the area of IT Security and
Communications in nuclear projects, and the certification
gave me a different perspective for my work. My greatest
gratitude to WINS for the opportunity to participate in this
certification." Mr. Bados has a diverse education in
electronic engineering, aerospace technology and
business technology, and worked in communications
networks. He is now in charge of IT security at INVAP, a
company devoted to the design and construction of
complex technological systems.
