Educationprojectfordestitute children.Thisincludedthe constructionandrehabilitationof 4nursery

In Uganda, the trainingprojectasmentionedabove,wasmuchbigger,withatargetof 1500 church and
communityleadersfromacrossthe Country.
Distributionprojectfor10,000 Biblesacrossthe country, forvariouschurch leadersinpoor
neighborhoods.
The constructionof a rehabilitationcenterinKampalatohouse needyfamilies.The centerincludesa
safe house,adulttrainingcenterandnurseryschool.
In Tanzania,the mainprojectwasthe leaderstrainingprogram, whichhadatarget of 50 students.
In Somalia,the mainprojectwasthe constructionof a primaryschool,andhealthcenterinlowerJubba
regionof Somalia.
A school feedingprogramwasundertaken,benefiting1000 studentsdaily.
In SouthSudan,the mainprojectwas the constructionof a traininginstitutioninYei (BibleCollege),
complete withclassroomsanddormitoriestohostabout1000 students.

In Across,as part of the interimmanagementteam, appointedbythe Boardof Directors,we supervised

Acrossis an implementingagency,relyingonvariousdonorstofundthe projects.ApartfromUNHCR,

exclusivelyinSouthSudan.
Refugees(IDPs)settlementprogram.Thisinvolvedthe constructionandmanagementof 2 refugee
camps inLasu and Gorom areas.
The developmentof livelihoodprojectswithinthe settlementcamps,andinotherregionsof the
country.Thisincludedfarming,small businessesandvocational trainingprograms.
WASH and educationprojectsaroundthe Country,whichincludesconstructionof variousprimary
schoolsindifferentregions.
Community basedhealthcare programs andCommunity basedrehabilitationprograms.

NEGST is Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology. It is a post graduate theological seminary, with an International body of students. The seminary has since grown into a full University with other courses and faculties. My jobresponsibilitiesanddutiesincludedthe following:  Overseeingthe receiptingandbankingprocessesforthe Institution.The University had about200 studentswithabout20 organizationssponsoringdifferentstudents.Some studentswere self-sponsored.The annual budgetwasaboutUSD. 0.4m.  Overseeingthe paymentprocesses,andensuringthatenoughfundswere always available forthe monthlyexpenditures.The school mainlyreliedonschool feesincome to run operations.  Processthe final monthlyaccounts,foruse bythe management.
  • 5.  Overseeingthe staff payroll system, includingtimelydeductionsandremittance of statutorydeductions.ThisincludesIncome tax,hospital levyetc.  Overseeingthe propermaintenance of financial andinventoryrecordsof the Institution.  Analysisof the income andexpenditure and balance sheetreportsformanagement consumption.  Supervisionandorganizationof the annual financial auditexercise. OTHER CURRENT INVOLVEMENTS  A memberof the Board of Directorsfor ACROSS,anInternational NGOworkinginSouthSudan, from2009. The organizationhasanannual budgetof about USD. 10m withsupportcomingfrom variousInternational Organizationsincluding the UN.I wasthe Chairman of the Finance subcommittee of the Board upto year2015.  I alsoservedasmemberof Board of DirectorsforInternational AidServices(IAS) duringthe years2007 up to 2009. IASisa developmentorganizationoperatinginAfrica,andsupported mainlybythe Governmentof Sweden. HOBBIES: Reading, Travelingand Sports. REFERENCE PERSONS: Available uponrequest. In Kenya,livelihoodsprojectincludingthe distributionof bicyclesandlearningmaterialsmainlytothe Coastal regionof Kenya;Lamuand Kwale Counties.
  • 6. TrainingprojectwhichincludedTEE(Theological EducationbyExtension).Bothdiplomaandcertificate coursesrun inintervalsof 3 yearsindifferentpartsof Kenya. Educationprojectfordestitute children.Thisincludedthe constructionandrehabilitationof 4nursery schoolswithabout200 children. In Uganda, the trainingprojectasmentionedabove,wasmuchbigger,withatargetof 1500 church and communityleadersfromacrossthe Country. Distributionprojectfor10,000 Biblesacrossthe country, forvariouschurch leadersinpoor neighborhoods. The constructionof a rehabilitationcenterinKampalatohouse needyfamilies.The centerincludesa safe house,adulttrainingcenterandnurseryschool. In Tanzania,the mainprojectwasthe leaderstrainingprogram, whichhadatarget of 50 students. In Somalia,the mainprojectwasthe constructionof a primaryschool,andhealthcenterinlowerJubba regionof Somalia. A school feedingprogramwasundertaken,benefiting1000 studentsdaily. In SouthSudan,the mainprojectwas the constructionof a traininginstitutioninYei (BibleCollege), complete withclassroomsanddormitoriestohostabout1000 students.  ACROSS. In Across,as part of the interimmanagementteam, appointedbythe Boardof Directors,we supervised the followingprojectsinSouthSudan. Acrossis an implementingagency,relyingonvariousdonorstofundthe projects.ApartfromUNHCR, whichisthe biggestdonor,the othersinclude TearFund,DFID,USAID, DCA andNCA.Across works exclusivelyinSouthSudan. Refugees(IDPs)settlementprogram.Thisinvolvedthe constructionandmanagementof 2 refugee camps inLasu and Gorom areas. The developmentof livelihoodprojectswithinthe settlementcamps,andinotherregionsof the country.Thisincludedfarming,small businessesandvocational trainingprograms. WASH and educationprojectsaroundthe Country,whichincludesconstructionof variousprimary schoolsindifferentregions. Community basedhealthcare programs andCommunity basedrehabilitationprograms. Agricultural andRadioprogramsat communitylevel.Developandoperate agribusinessprojectsthat empowersmall holderfarmerstoincrease theireconomicpotential. Emergencyresponse programandteacherstrainingcollege project. Managementandfinancial auditexercises forprojectsandthe entire organization.
