A slate as clean as morning dew,
A start fresh as a bright spring day,
My love for life is born anew,
Happiness: here to stay.
You may color my past your dismalest black,
You may laugh at my soul, how it pined,
For the dark broken memories which kept coming back,
From the sorrowful place in my mind.
For my future is brilliant, as bright as the sun,
Mine eyes shine like the stars in the sky,
My words and my pen, my emotions are one,
And my rhymes shall never die.
