3. Remove the hood. Refer to Hood - Remove (90.100)
for the procedure.
4. Loosen the clamps (1) and disconnect the intercooler
hoses (2). Slowly remove the radiator cap (3).

ATTENTION: Hot coolant can escape if the coolant reser-
voir cap is removed while the system is still hot. Allow the
system to cool down completely before removing the cap.
5. Install a hose on the drain valve (1) and drain the radi-
ator into a clean container of suitable capacity.
6. Wait for the coolant to drain out completely.

10. Remove the cooling pack mounting bolts (1).
11. Attach suitable lifting equipment to the radiator.
12. Raise the cooling pack just enough to move it forward
and clear the fan.
13. Make sure that you have cleared the fan from the
shroud, raise the cooling pack from the machine.

Radiator - Assemble
NOTE: Refer to Radiator - Exploded view (10.400).
1. Install fan shroud bolts to the prescribed torque of
7.25 N·m (5.3 lb ft).
2. Install de-aeration tank.
3. Install radiator hoses and clamps to the prescribed
torque of 5.8 – 6.8 N·m (4.3 – 5.0 lb ft).
4. If fittings were removed from the oil cooler, install fit-
tings to the prescribed torque of 270 – 300 N·m (199.1
– 221.3 lb ft).
NOTICE: Use two wrenches to minimize the torque trans-
mitted onto the elbow brazed to the oil cooler.
5. Install the clamps to the prescribed torque of 5.6 –
7.9 N·m (4.1 – 5.8 lb ft).
6. Install the mounting brackets and tighten the mounting
bolts.

NOTE: The photos in this procedure may be different from
your machine and are for reference only.
1. Attach suitable lifting equipment to the cooling pack.
2. Lower the assembly just in front of the fan and slowly
guide the cooling pack backward clearing the fan.
NOTE: Adjust fan shroud to obtain 20 mm (0.787 in) clear-
ance around the fan.
3. Install and tighten the mounting bolts (1).

(1) and tighten the radiator cap.
8. Install hood. Refer to Hood - Install (90.100).
9. Install the front grill and secure in place with the cap
screws (1).
10. Fill the radiator and de-aeration reservoir to the full
line. See Capacities for specifications.
11. Connect the battery.
12. Start the engine and allow the coolant to reach op-
erating temperature. Stop the engine and check for
leaks. After the engine cools, check the level and fill
as needed.
