2. CONFERENCE OVERVIEW
Dear Colleague,
Energy hungry Egypt's willingness to push fuel market reforms and stick to debt repayment plans has led to
an unexpected resurgence in oil and gas exploration and supply deals previously delayed by political upheaval.
The country has emerged as major new oil and gas market as the government looks to ease the worst energy
crunch in decades. In January alone, Egypt clinched fifteen new exploration deals, amended two more, and
closed major tenders to import liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Algeria and Russia, opening up to global
energy pricing norms as the government seeks to scrap crippling subsidies by 2019.
The New Field Development Conference Egypt will be held from 2 - 5 November 2015 in Cairo, Egypt, and
will explore the policy frameworks, new bidding rounds and exploration contracts plus the latest technological
advances to formulate the next steps for scaling up the region’s latest developments and investments.
This conference will provide first-hand information on the available fields and opportunities in Egypt. It will
showcase the latest deals and also present opportunities for decision-makers and fund providers to meet and
discuss future projects. This event will combine a high-quality conference with a first-class exhibition plus
offer networking opportunities with the world’s leading national and international oil and gas companies.
Attending our conference presents great value and will enable you to meet industry experts and learn

PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP DAY: MONDAY, 2 NOVEMBER 2015
9:00 - 13:00
Production logging as a tool for improved production: Identifying and eliminating
undesirable gas production
Workshop overview:
While most types of logs are used to characterise the wellbore, formation and fluids prior to well completion, a number of
logging tools are available to provide information during production operations and beyond. This process becomes difficult in
horizontal wellbores as fluid segregation affects the area investigated by the various logging sensors and also the velocities of
the individual phases. Typical slotted liner completions further complicate analysis as fluids are able to flow in the liner/openhole
annulus.
This workshop will provide you with in-depth instruction on tool physics, interpretation and quality control techniques applied to
wellbore-specific production logging and reservoir monitoring scenarios. You will learn how and when to use these tools for your
specific logging objectives including applications to three phase flow measurement. You will also analyse quick look techniques
for identifying quality control problems with existing logs. Using hands-on examples, you will learn to interpret behind casing
resistivity and measuring three phase flow using production logs.
Key benefits for attendees:
Understanding the outflow and inflow performance and productivity index for oil wells and gas wells
Identifying the easy exploration of all PL project values - input as well as output values
Analysing the various techniques of measuring individual fluid velocities of oil, water, gas using spinners, oxygen activation,
phase velocity logging and gas bubble velocity
Understanding production logging in horizontal wells
Evaluate spinner calibrations to obtain fluid velocities and hence production rates
Elaborating stop-check measurement interpretation and velocity calculations
Who should attend:
Senior managers, managers, engineers and specialists from:
Exploration
Production

8. INTERACTIVE WORKSHOPS
POST-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP DAY: THURSDAY, 5 NOVEMBER 2015
9:00 - 13:00
Never too late for brown basins or brown fields: Techniques and implementation
applied to new field discoveries
Workshop overview:
This workshop will elaborate and capture the advances in the modern and proven Reservoir Life Cycle Management (RLCM)
techniques as applied to new field discoveries as well as existing and mature fields.
Many countries across the globe are striving to maximise their energy resources. As larger oil and gas field reserves get depleted,
managing these assets is a tough challenge in face of increasing complexity and uneconomic conditions. This has shifted
the focus by these countries to revive declining brown fields or relook at unattractive marginal fields. Marginal fields are those
hydrocarbon resource accumulations that do not generate sufficient positive net value to be economic.
As demand for energy continues to grow, oil and gas practitioners are often challenged and asked whether marginal and brown
fields will continue to be the area of focus in the coming year. Is it worth for us to focus on developing such fields in view of
increasing cost and technical challenges? How are we going to manage the cost and schedule effectively in developing these
resources? Do we have adequate technologies to handle the challenges and risks in developing these assets? Are we ready
to challenge ourselves? Attend this workshop to discover the latest approaches, discuss ideas and network with your industry
colleagues.
Key benefits for attendees:
Highlighting phases of exploring the basin (history of exploration, current activities, fields& discoveries, the exploration models )
Analysing integration as a tool for success (disciplines, teams, technology, knowledge, people & organisations)
Suggested forward plans for more resources and new fields
Understanding the techniques applied to existing fields and mature fields as well as new field discoveries
Finding best practices, efficient use of current technologies, decision-making techniques, and lessons learnt
Who should attend:
Senior managers, managers, engineers and specialists from:

Your platform – getting your message across:
Because we know that each sponsor has a different message, business development goal and branding
objectives, each sponsorship package is tailored to your corporate strategies. Though most sponsorship
offers multiple levels and types of exposure, there are a few main ways for you to highlight your corporate
strengths:
1 Thought Leadership
As a sponsor at the New Field Development Conference Egypt, your company will gain second-
to-none exposure to senior-level decision-makers at the point in time that they are seeking solutions,
information and systems for improving their firm’s strategies. For a select few sponsors, you can build
your reputation as a market leader through subject-specific presentations, workshops and focus days.
This highly selective sponsorship allows your firm to establish tremendous capability and expertise in your
specialty as well as highlight successful work completed with your clients.
2 Premium Branding
We bring together buyers and suppliers for collaboration, networking and knowledge sharing. Branding is
often a major initiative for our clients who are seeking to get the message out about their offerings. Build
your company’s brand and visibility in front of senior decision-makers in order to get shortlisted. As a
sponsor, your company branding will appear alongside the global leaders associated with best practices
in this field. Our dedicated marketing team will help you achieve your promotional aims in the months
leading up to the conference. IQPC leverages multiple marketing channels including online, direct mail,
email, press releases, media partnerships and social media to publicise the event and increase awareness
about your participation to our extensive database, as well as through our network of partners.
3 Featured Networking Events
Networking and information sharing are two major aspects of our conferences and IQPC builds in many
opportunities for sponsors to benefit from meeting industry leaders. Focused and high-level, our events
will provide you with the perfect environment to initiate new business relationships, identify upcoming
opportunities and achieve face-to-face contact that overcrowded tradeshows can not deliver. The
exhibition area is designed to be the heart of the event – a place to network and share strategies with key
decision-makers. Sponsorship opportunities range from exhibition stands to sponsored lunches, cocktail
receptions, gala dinners and a host of other branding opportunities.
Additionally IQPC offers a selection of sponsorship opportunities that enables our clients to increase
their opportunity to develop new relationships during our events, including one-to-one meetings
with clients to understand their challenges, requirements and opportunities.
