2. Neurological Disorders
• A neurological disorder (1)are the disorder of
the nervous system. It can be
structural, biochemical or electrical
abnormalities in the brain, spinal cord or
other nerves which can result in a range
of symptoms like paralysis, muscle weakness,
poor muscular coordination and loss
of sensation, seizure, confusion, pain
and altered levels of consciousness.

3. Causes
• Genetic disorders,
• Congenital abnormalities or disorders,
• infections, lifestyle or environmental
health problems
• malnutrition, and
• brain injury, spinal cord injury or nerve injury.
• Idiopathic i.e. When no neural cause can be
identified using current testing procedures.

4. Common
disorders
• Common neurological problems – List is very
very long, few of them are like neuritis,
herpes, polio, ganglion, epilepsy, Parkinson’s
diseases, sclerosis, tetany, degenerative brain
disorders, etc. Other than that systemic
diseases can also cause neurological
complaints i.e. diabetes, hypertension,
arthritis, SLE, leprosy, gout, diphtheria,
tuberculosis, syphilis, etc.

5. Aggravating Factors
• Stress, Infection, inflammation, injury ,
compression disease, degenerative changes,
de-myelination, loss of blood supply which
leads to vascular diseases obstruction, toxins
foods , drugs , pesticides or dyes or glues or
metal powders ,poisons ,addictions,
exhaustion, sleeplessness, alcoholism,
smoking malnutrition, exposure to extreme
temperatures, etc.

6. Aggravating Factors
• The World Health Organization estimated in
2006 that neurological disorders and
their consequences affect as many as one
billion people worldwide, and
identified health inequalities and social
stigma/discrimination as major factors
contributing to the
associated disability and suffering.

7. Common Symptoms
• Most common symptoms
are paralysis, muscle weakness, poor
coordination, loss of sensation, twitching,
jerks seizures, confusion, pain
and altered levels of consciousness.
• Any disturbances in the nerve conduction of
impulses/signals may lead to nerve twitchings
or jerks, spasm, paralytic conditions etc.

phenomenon ,in peripheral nervous system,
nerves can regenerate to some extent if
injuries are small. Scientist are trying to find
new methods for repair and regeneration of
nerve tissue by graft and bio engineering and
cell culture . Unfortunately, a solution to
completely repair spinal cord injury has not
been found.

disorders also.

physician , the symptoms which are vague for
allopathic system , become an important part
of homeopathic case taking sometimes so:

disorders without any side-effects.

possible to learn all, but correct application of

disorders and sufferings to some extent.

in nerve injuries as specific medicines.

homeopathic medicines to ease the suffering of
patients , with constitutional as well as specific
homeopathic medicines in acute and chronic
neurological disorders.
