It would also create a Skill Development Authority of India (SDAI) to assess people's skills and interests and connect them to jobs. Mobile training camps (MTCs) would offer short-term skills courses in rural areas. These proposed solutions aim to correct the mismatch between the skills demanded by employers and those supplied by the workforce.
In India, more than 80% of Indians do not possess identifiable marketable skills, which in turn makes it difficult for them to get jobs. The presentation talks about how boosting the skill sets of the youth can help in improving their employability.

This summarizes a proposed volunteer-driven model to address India's skills shortage and high unemployment rates among graduates. Key points:
- India graduates 3 million students annually but 75-90% are unemployable due to lack of relevant skills.
- The model recruits 0.5 million volunteers from professionals, retired executives and students to impart skills training to 5 million trainees annually.
- Training in various vocational skills like IT, manufacturing, and hospitality would be delivered on weekends at local schools and offices.
- A central management team oversees the network and ensures skills taught match industry needs through corporate partnerships.
This document proposes a new model for vocational training in India to address the skills gap. It involves building a large network of volunteers, including professionals, retired executives, and students, who would provide skills training on weekends. A central management team would recruit and map volunteers to local skills needs. Training would be provided through a low-cost, scalable model using public buildings and online resources. The program aims to train 5 million people annually across India through this volunteer network with an annual budget of only INR 5 crore, funded through government and corporate support. Key risks include lack of interest from volunteers or trainees and challenges in curriculum design and student placements.
TOPAZ(Entrepreneurship Cell for Student Development)TOPAZ SKIT

This document discusses the problem of low employability of Indian youth and proposes solutions. It notes that the current education system lacks practical skills training, leading to high unemployment despite increasing population and competition. Key employability skills mentioned include communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and technical skills. Solutions proposed include establishing technical training labs in villages, collaborations between industries and NGOs to train unemployed youth, and promoting rural industries to reduce migration to cities. The document emphasizes equipping youth with skills suited to local opportunities to enhance employability.

The document discusses the accelerating pace of technology adoption and how automation will impact jobs. It notes that young workers and those with only high school diplomas will be most affected. However, new jobs will also be created. The majority of new jobs in Europe in recent years came from companies less than 5 years old. Fast growing companies led by women are also creating many new jobs. However, many university graduates still lack skills needed by employers. Internships are seen as more important than grades alone. The document proposes partnerships between educators and employers to provide students with meaningful work experiences through programs that connect schools with local businesses.
The document proposes a program that would allow university students to graduate debt-free by securing sponsorships from companies. Students would receive their tuition, room and board, and books paid for by getting companies to sponsor feeding a certain number of people per month. There would be three levels of sponsorship corresponding to increasing levels of financial support for students. The program aims to help 1,000 students graduate debt-free per year, create new entrepreneurs, and ultimately feed 500,000 people in indigenous communities per month. It claims the program benefits students, companies and communities.
"ILO's Work on Skills Development" by Project Coordinators International Labo...Tech in Asia ID
The document summarizes the findings of a rapid assessment of ICT skills demand in Indonesia. It found that 62% of ICT jobs available were for entry-level positions, with database query, HTML, and JavaScript being the most in-demand technical skills. Soft skills like teamwork and communication were also highly desired. The assessment recommends regular skills mapping, industry-TVET collaboration, and a focus on training marginalized groups and out-of-school youth. It proposes next steps like industry participation in upcoming career fairs and skills council meetings.
Scholar’s Learning is a web portal providing students the best study material and NCERT Solutions for Class 4 to 12. It can help you in scoring high marks and it makes all subjects easy through. And get Many Top Colleges List of India.
The education sector in India is growing, with both government and private collaboration to develop primary, international, and higher education. Government expenditure on education as a percentage of total spending and GDP has increased from 1952 to 2014. Several education companies are mentioned that provide services like tutoring, test preparation, and skills training. Requirements for teachers and other roles at some of these companies are outlined. Challenges in the Indian education system include increasing access to schools while enhancing quality, developing research and skills, and improving infrastructure through investment and partnerships.
There is a large gap between the skills possessed by India's workforce and the needs of the job market. 80% of the workforce lacks marketable skills, and 85% of graduates are unemployable in high-growth industries. Vocational training capacity meets the needs of only 2.3 million people, while the gap is over 18 million. Solutions proposed include introducing vocational education streams aligned with industry needs, improving industry connections through internships and partnerships, and encouraging entrepreneurship through funding and recognition of startups.
This document proposes a plan to boost skillsets and employability of youth in India by addressing issues of illiteracy and lack of skills. Key points:
- Many graduates in India lack skills and are unemployed despite a growing workforce needing skills training.
- The plan involves unemployed graduates and professionals providing vocational and language training to illiterate rural people over 3 months to boost literacy and skills.
- Benefits include increasing literacy, providing employment and skills to more people, and connecting workers to jobs. However, it requires significant funding support, volunteers, and ongoing commitment to implement successfully.
The document summarizes key initiatives under the Indian government's Digital India and Startup India programs. Digital India aims to transform India into a digitally empowered society through initiatives like high speed internet access, digital identity and authentication, universal mobile connectivity, and online services. Startup India aims to boost entrepreneurship and startup growth in India through measures like self-certification, patent protection, tax exemptions, and funding support. Both programs seek to promote digital technology, drive economic growth, and create jobs.
