- Nelda Van Dyke (1919-2021) was a beloved member of TESA (Texas Educational Support Staff Association) who served as president from 1979-1980. - She was known as the "TESA Doll" and "TESA Matriarch" and was a dedicated leader, mentor and friend to many within the organization. - In 1999, TESA renamed their Employee of the Year award to the Nelda Van Dyke Award in her honor. - Many past TESA presidents shared fond memories and stories of Nelda's determination, wisdom, guidance and impact on both their personal lives and leadership within the organization.
