The Neighborhood League operates youth football teams throughout Jerusalem, including disadvantaged neighborhoods, refugee camps, and schools. The project establishes teams for poor children who could not otherwise participate. Each team has biweekly practices led by a certified coach and weekly tutoring sessions covering social-emotional learning. The 180 children participate in monthly tournaments divided by gender and neighborhood. The project aims to promote values of respect through soccer and is run primarily by volunteers, including university students, with the goal of helping disadvantaged youth develop.
