Around the world, huge tracts of fertile land are being sold or
rented for extremely low prices. Tens of millions of hectares
have been surrendered in recent years to produce food crops
for export or biofuels, to extract resources or to resell the land
on the financial market, like any other commodity.
This so-called land grabbing is severely threatening the
environment, the food sovereignty and the very lives of local
communities.
The Amazon Pueblo project help indigenous villages in the Colombian Amazon to improve their standard of living through sustainable business. We are an all-volunteer program. We welcome new volunteers.

1. The devastation brought by Haiyan/
Yolanda typhoon in the Philippines
had affected the lives of the Filipinos.
A lot of people lost their families and
shelters, water and food outage began
to aggravate people’s lives. But despite
of the calamity Filipino people once again
remain resilient.
2. The 5th Land fall of Haiyan/Yolanda
typhoon landed in the northern part of Ilo-Ilo
and the rest of Panay Island which includes
the Concepcion and the rest of the Cities &
Municipalities. The devastation in People’s
lives were somehow relieved because a lot of
people responded and helped them recover
from this unimaginable calamity.
14. Due to the calamity the central
elementary school of Concepcion were
pre occupied and became one the evacuation
centers of the Municipality where most
people from the remote areas evacuated
during the typhoon.

fortunately received the relief goods.

because they don’t need to line up in
a very long line under the heat of the
sun just to have a relief good. We did
a house to house visit to deliver the
food to the community.

Organizations joined hand in hand to
alleviate the burden and hunger of
Filipinos who are greatly affected by
the Typhoon.
