Treatment Outcomes
• Lack of a stable, alcohol and drug free living
environment can be a serious obstacle to
sustained abstinence.
• A variety of studies showed that halfway houses
improved treatment outcome.
• SAMSHA- Transitional or supportive housing can
help stabilize people with mental health issues
and substance use disorders who are
experiencing homelessness
• There is a great need for people to find sober and
safe living environments.

25. Pathway to Employment Program
PEP Internship
PEP is an opportunity for former NAC clients to become
employed through a paid internship.
In order to be eligible for the program:
• Candidates must be 21 years of age or older
• Have a HS Diploma or GED; or be eligible to complete a
GED within 6 months
• Have completed a program at NAC
• Maintained 4 months of sobriety
• Have basic computer skills
• Be Fingerprint Clearance eligible
• Complete the application process
