2. This essay is about differences of two genre movies, which is horror and thriller film . For
horror genre I have choose the “ Conjuring “ and for thriller– ‘Lucy “Why I had choose these
two movies because there a great to watch , and keep audience excited. The movie ‘Conjuring “
telling the real story of one family, who were living in haunted house. The movie “ LUCY” telling
about the chemical pills which make people really smart, energetic, confidence and powerful.
Both movies were directed by really famous persons. “Conjuring” had award by “most scary
movie all the time” . “Lucy” is fast, tight and playful even when its sadistic and violent movie. I
am going to show the difference of both movies in detail.
The first difference of both movies is that “Conjuring” based on real life story, and after 20
years they made movie to show the world about paranormal activities, ghosts and restless
souls. However, “Lucy” is fictional character by author, after she took the chemical pills, her
brain function starts to change. Approximately, percentage of normal brain function is 10%, but
her brain has reached step by step 100%. The following steps, shows what people can do if
their brain works 20%, and increasing till 100%.
Therefore, “conjuring” tells a story about family, which includes 4 daughters and parents, who
lived in haunted house, and bad things was happening to each member of family. But in “Lucy”
it tells only about main girl who took the pills. Because of the pills she had a really power, like
fight with 5 guys at the same time, or by looking she could stop the people.
One more differences of both movies is “conjuring” is horror movie and shows paranormal
activities in the house, which is things moving by itself, switching on and off lights. One of the
daughter started to see a ghost , and become friends with them. But another daughter was
exhausted by ghosts. However, “lucy” is more scientist movie, explaining what people could do
if their brains could function 100%. When she starts to having her power, she decided to
revenge those people who put that much amount of drugs inside her body. By increasing of
brains function, her body were changing a lot, she could transfer from one place to another,
and all these action were following by explanation of scientist about brain function.
Another difference is ending the movies. “Conjuring” had a happy end, they finally released
of restless souls and ghost, who were disturbing their families. Ghost finally got a piece, and
could leave this world, by their help. But “Lucy” shows that if people’s brain could reach 100%
function, they just disappear and will be everywhere, like what happened with main character.
She could do everything that is impossible for human, she could read the text messages, emails,
main conversation of government and of anyone.
To conclude I want to say that both movies are really incredible by their own way. It shows
us the paranormal , something mysteries, which we really seek about it. However, the movies
action so different in a ways, keep our breathing in one level till the end of movies. Its really
interesting to watch these movies, because it shows paranormal things, which till now there is
no real explanation. Therefore, tells us about chemical pills , what they could do to the
human’s brain, and the circumstances. I have had in this essay a differentiation of both great
movies by their plot. However, it is seems unbelievable , but we don’t know what could happen
in our lives.
