This document discusses a proposed national improvement project called KQuIP to increase home dialysis rates across the UK by addressing regional variation. It would establish regional collaboratives to test ideas and share best practices using a three-phase model of discovery, idea development, and testing cycles. Barriers to greater home dialysis use include financial factors, lack of leadership support and expertise, and perceptions of patient suitability. The project aims to standardize training pathways and measurement while respecting patient choice. Clear vision, leadership, organizational culture, and infrastructure support will be key drivers of success.
Tajikistan faces significant challenges, including high maternal and child mortality rates, malnutrition, and underweight children, particularly in Khatlon Province. To address these issues, the USAID-funded Healthy Mother, Healthy Baby (HMHB) project implemented a digital strategy, despite limited digital literacy in the country.
Collaborating with the Tajikistan Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population (MoHSPP), HMHB digitized national clinical protocols and guidelines on maternal and child health (MNCH) and nutrition. We created a knowledge hub (KH) within the MoHSPP's website, providing healthcare workers with easy access to updated health information. The response has been remarkable, although we continue to face challenges related to digital literacy. Sustainability hinges on continuous training, guideline updates, improved connectivity, and promoting engagement with the Knowledge Hub.
Presentation by Terry Whalley, Director of Delivery, Cheshire & Merseyside Health & Care Partnership at ECO 19: Care closer to home on Tuesday 9 July at Deepdale Stadium.
This document summarizes presentations from a conference on using digital solutions in allied health professions. It describes several projects using telehealth/remote consultations:

3) An ophthalmology telehealth project in Forth Valley for remote video consultations.
4) A project using ambulance response data on hypoglycemia to automatically refer patients to diabetes services for follow-up, improving care coordination.

They created process maps, observed workflows, and held workshops with staff and donors. This identified duplication, inconsistencies, and bottlenecks. Their recommendations provided evidence to support ongoing initiatives and highlighted new areas for improvement. The engagement also helped transfer skills to Diabetes UK to continue independently analyzing and updating their processes for improved supporter care and resource use.

Feeding plate for a newborn with Cleft Palate.pptxSatvikaPrasad
A feeding plate is a prosthetic device used for newborns with a cleft palate to assist in feeding and improve nutrition intake. From a prosthodontic perspective, this plate acts as a barrier between the oral and nasal cavities, facilitating effective sucking and swallowing by providing a more normal anatomical structure. It helps to prevent milk from entering the nasal passage, thereby reducing the risk of aspiration and enhancing the infant's ability to feed efficiently. The feeding plate also aids in the development of the oral muscles and can contribute to better growth and weight gain. Its custom fabrication and proper fitting by a prosthodontist are crucial for ensuring comfort and functionality, as well as for minimizing potential complications. Early intervention with a feeding plate can significantly improve the quality of life for both the infant and the parents.

Thank you so much for the great opportunity to be involved in
this course. As a Nurse it will benefit me to have better
understanding and wide knowledge with regards to caring for
the diabetes patient and even with my family members who
have diabetes. Hopefully, in the future, you still can run with
this kind of course that can be accessible to all nurses.
4.5 Stars given by
NADC users
This course is very helpful and valuable to my practice. The

detailed.
The course was very interesting and I learned a lot about DM, it

Guidelines for the safe
prescribing and administration
of insulin in inpatient hospital
settings
40. GUIDELINES 2021 - 2022
As a result of these findings, the following preliminary
recommendations will be expanded on and published to guide
the safe and effective prescribing and administration of insulin:
• For handwritten insulin prescribing, implementing dedicated insulin prescription charts with pre-
printed “units”
• For electronic insulin prescribing, creating insulin order sets
• The use of insulin pen needle safety devices
• Education of junior medical and nursing staff regarding the general purposes of basal, bolus, pre-
mixed and supplemental sliding scale insulin to decrease the likelihood that the wrong type of
insulin is prescribed or administered
• Education of junior medical staff regarding safer prescribing practices including eligible
handwriting and writing out “units” and “subcut” in full
