Overview Myspace is a social networking site that became very popular in 2006 till 2008  HQ in Beverly Hills, California Taken over by its main competitor, Facebook, in 2008
History Employees of eUniverse with Friendster accounts saw potention in Friendster and took the more popular features and decided to make their own version.  Within 10 days the first form of Myspace was made
Purpose Myspace was originally created for the employees of eUniverse and it was a little contest between employees to see who could sign up the most people With the site expanding within the company, the creators decided to make it a public social networking site
Purpose cont. Myspace is a social networking site, which means it is a place for people to socialize with other friends, post pictures, videos, and comments.
Content A Myspace profile consists of…. Moods Blurbs, blogs, multimedia Comments Profile customization Music
Uses Myspace can be used for keeping in touch with old friends or even finding long lost friends Also, sharing pictures and videos with your friends
