Karishma Maharaj recently graduated with Honours in Public Health from Monash South Africa. She has already secured a research post at the South African Medical Research Council, where she is actively applying what she learned. Maharaj wants to serve others and make a positive impact on a large scale. Her studies at Monash contributed to her interest in public health and epidemiology, and provided an excellent foundation for her medical research career. After just a short time working, Maharaj is interacting with leaders from organizations like the World Health Organization, bringing about change for mothers and children in South Africa.
