 I grew up in Texas, in a small town outside of Dallas
 I moved to Albuquerque when I was in middle school
 I grew up attending private school, until 7th grade
 I went to Rio Rancho High School
 I got a soccer scholarship to play soccer in college
 I played one year at New Mexico Highlands University and one year at Angelo
State University in Texas
 I enjoy hiking, snowboarding, country dancing, going on adventures, teaching,
doing arts and crafts, and being outdoors
 I grew up in a small town in Texas. I grew up around great family, with strong
Christian beliefs. My mom and dad got divorced when I was 4 years old. Going
through that made me stronger as a person. My mom raised me, as my dad was
not in the picture for a while. My grandparents were always very supportive, and
always helped my mom with raising me.
This is a
picture of me
and my mom.
This is
me and
my
grandma
. She has
been a
great
role
model in
my life
 I have had really bad experiences with teachers, and really great experiences.
Both of these experiences have made me want to be a teacher. I have experienced
what I do not want to be as a teacher, but also I have seen some great examples of
teachers.
 I love kids, and want to be able to have positive impacts on their lives.
 My moms does foster care for children in CYFD custody in the state of NM, and
after being around these kiddos and hearing some of their stories, I gained even
more motivation to be a teacher. Some of those children have nobody; and I think
by becoming a teacher, I can reach out to these students and impact their lives
and guide them in the right direction.
 I believe that all students should feel safe, welcomed, and supported at school. I
think that a child's first few years of school can determine how they will feel about
the rest of their career as a student, and just their opinion about education in
general.
 I want to have fun with my class I want all of my students to be excited to come to
school every day. I want to take the curriculum and come up with creative ways to
teach it so my students are pleased with what they are doing.
