Evaluation of gas handling capacity of the ellen east gas gathering system (5)Pedro Marquez
This document evaluates the gas handling capacity of the Ellen East gas gathering system operated by Laredo Energy. It details two case studies: Case A looks at adding a hypothetical new well near existing wells #4-H and #9-H. Case B examines a new well near #12-H. The methodology calculates the maximum capacity while maintaining a minimum pressure of 1000psig at the Ellen East Drip Station. For both cases, simulations using Pipephase software found: Case A can handle an additional 50 MMSCFD if flow pressure is 1200psig. Case B can handle 22.4 MMSCFD at 1200psig. The report provides technical details on wells, piping, and modeling to support the

Presentation to the 3rd Annual Optimising Mine Operations Conference 2015IMAFS
- Canadian Malartic Mine faced challenges managing its large spare parts inventory with manual min-max levels and no dedicated inventory analyst.
- It implemented a scientific inventory optimization system to set dynamic min-max levels for over 75% of items, classify parts, forecast demand, and manage lead times.
- This led to an 80% reduction in backorders for critical A items, 45% fewer backorders for other items, and a 3.5% overall increase in parts availability, including a 5% rise for critical items. Inventory levels also declined by 15% on average and 24% for mobile equipment parts.
Transformer Bladder Replacement work ReportDanish Aslam
1) Transformer 11BAT01 tripped due to a damaged bladder in the conservator tank, which caused a false low oil level indication even when there was sufficient oil.
2) The bladder was replaced, the oil was treated, and the transformer is now back in service since February 1, 2014.
3) Key activities included replacing the damaged bladder, treating the oil, refilling the conservator tank, and energizing the transformer.

Monitoring & Setting Test Trains.
1. Ensuring proper working pressures are maintained on 2 phase; F.W.K.O.; and
Heater Treater Vessels. I have done a 90/60/35 vessel pressure ratio on lower
producing wells; and higher 120/80/40 pressure ratio on production trains with
higher well head pressures and flow rates to ensure vessels are not overloaded.
2. Purging sight glasses to ensure visibility of fluid and gas separation.
3. Setting Micro switches and “alligators” to optimal dump points to allow for
maximum oil and water separation.
4. Setting little Joe pressure regulators and bleeding/purging gas lines that supply
oil and water dumps on vessels; including draining scrubber pots to prevent
fluid/condensate build up in supply lines.
5. Ensuring Heater Treater Vessels are at optimal levels by adjusting weir nipple
(keeping oil level just above fire tube).
Maintaining and Gauging Tank Battery Levels with correct Designation of Fluids.
1. Gauging tanks hourly to verify production rates and comparing to barrel meters.
