Dioxins can cause reproductive, developmental, and health issues like cancer and interfere with hormones. Animal products are a major source of dioxin exposure for humans. Reducing consumption of fatty animal products and having a balanced diet can help prevent overexposure to dioxins, which are very persistent environmental pollutants.

Istituto Comprensivo Albert Schweitzer
Our school is named "A. Schweitzer" after Albert Schweitzer, a doctor and philosopher born in 1815 who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1952 for his humanitarian work before passing away in 1965. The school has both a primary and secondary school led by Head Teacher Mrs. Marina Crema, with classrooms on the first two floors and laboratories for science, IT, art, and music on the third floor. Students study various subjects and have clubs or extra lessons after school dismisses at 1pm, going Monday through Saturday with some playing musical instruments like the flute, piano, and drums.
TERMOLI. 2019
Termoli is a town in Italy that offers several tourist attractions including public beaches with bars, watersports, an old village with historic houses and buildings like the Svevo castle and Romanesque cathedral. It is also known for high-quality seafood restaurants. Shopping options include boutiques, souvenir shops, and cafes located along the main street and in the old village as well as larger shopping malls outside the town center. Termoli has a nice mix of stores, cafes and views of the coastal town from the popular main street.

There are four secondary schools in Termoli. The Schweitzer secondary school is located in the town center and has three floors and nine classrooms, as well as a sports hall and science lab. The Maria Brigida secondary school is also located in town and has four floors, a large auditorium, and gym. The Oddo Bernacchia secondary school is in Piazza Garibaldi and has four floors, a music lab, and gym. The Difesa Grande secondary school is in the suburbs and is small and new. All four schools run Monday through Friday and have similar start and end times, as well as not requiring uniforms but having dress codes and lockers.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
