Charismatic vs. Transformational
1
The act of leading an organization or group of people plays a leading role in effecting change.
However, it can also hinder change in an organization or society.
Some of the leadership styles that have proved valuable over years include charismatic and transformational leadership styles.
Introduction
While charismatic and transformational leadership styles have been used by many leaders who are considered to be good leaders, there are significant differences between the two. The differences can be identified from how particular leaders employed charismatic and transformation leadership traits. These traits impact my leadership style daily. Depending on my target audience for the task at hand to be completed.
2
Charismatic leadership relies on the leader’s charm and attraction to create inspired and devoted followers towards the leader (Nikoloski, 2015) while transformational leadership establishes a collective vision to create change in individuals and social systems.
Nelson Mandela is one of the well known charismatic leaders while Martin Luther King is well known for his transformational leadership traits.

Some of the leadership traits that Nelson Mandela displayed as a charismatic leader includes being self-confident, inspirational, articulate, revolutionary, and supportive (Nikoloski, 2015).
Nelson Mandela expressed powerful personality that attracted people to him.
Much of the attraction he received stemmed from the fact that he exuded confidence.
Mandela as Charismatic Leader
The confidence that Mandela exhibited can be seen at various instances of his life including when he expressed during trial that he was ready to live or die for democratic society in which all people live in harmony. To be a strong leader, one has to practice self-confidence. People who always second-guess themselves and feel shy around their coworkers may not attract others.
4

A leader is someone who has a responsibility of guiding the rest of those below him/her to reach a specific outcome, objective or destination. In order to achieve this, the leader should be inspiring and motivating to others. There have been leaders since time in memorial and even in religious books. There are leaders in different fields such as political, religious or even organizational leaders. Regardless of the field that such leaders lead, they should have desirable qualities and this makes them good leaders.
When a leader possesses some bad elements such as dictatorship, no matter their success, they will not be regarded as good and admirable leaders. A leader should not be seen as to presiding from the top and giving directives while just observing the progress. A leader should try as much as possible to take part in activities with those whom he/she leads. When a leader is representative of others, he should represent the general view of those he represents. A leader operates at different levels with some at lower levels and others in higher levels. The most important thing is that whichever the level they are, they should be able to effectively guide others to the expected goals.
Given that leaders operate at different levels and in different aspects of life, different leaders will therefore have different functions. For instance, as a family leader, a parent has the responsibility of guiding their children into a better future. A parent should ensure that children are able to receive the best care and protect them from external negative influences. For religious leaders, they have the responsibility of guiding their followers. They act as role models to the believers and should therefore have adorable qualities that can be adopted by the followers.
Religious leaders are tasked in ensuring that there is morality in the society according to the principles set by the religion. Political leaders on the other hand are elected or chosen to represent the interests of the electorates. They are expected to advocate for the demands of those they represent. In the top-level political leadership, as a representative of the country, a leader is supposed to represent fellow countrymen in global arena. While speaking, a leader of a country is seen to be representing the country of a whole. People will not see the leader’s utterances as personal but rather the opinion held by the general public.
A leader in general is supposed to perform a number of actions. The first duty that a leader is supposed to do is setting the destination or goals to be met. It is the responsibility of any leader to come up with goals which those under them will work to attain (Blanchard, 2007). The success of a leader will therefore be evaluated with their ability to meet the set goals. The other important function of leaders is organi.

A charismatic leader often retains the majority of the control of the members of the group because he or she has faith in themselves. A charismatic leader will find it difficult to hand over control to another person because he or she does not trust that the other person will handle duties the same or because the leader enjoys being at the top and having control over everything and everyone. For the people who follow a charismatic leader, the can develop an unhealthy dependence on him or her due to the i.
The purpose of this Book is to clear the misunderstanding of many Leaders in the corporate world. Those who believed and lived with the notions that best leaders are meant for the Corporate World and evolution of good leadership is in the world of business; I would want them to have a rethink as I explained the social and societal evolution of good leadership that has impacted the corporate world today. Please come along with me to some historical contextual truth derived from this concept of leadership. This book will deal with styles and concepts of leadership and help to build your understanding as to what is needed to be good leaders in Society. From Chapter to Chapter you will see the chronological order of leaders’ leadership and duty requires of them for better Society, Nations and the World at large.
When people talk about leadership, they mostly want to learn how to be good leaders at work. Leadership in the corporate context is one of the hottest topics in the world, and everyone wants to learn how to become a billionaire and be the best possible boss. However, leadership is not just limited to the work frontier; it extends to all of society. In fact, leadership began as a societal phenomenon much before it evolved into a professional one. In fact, many of the present-day leadership qualities that corporate and professional leaders aspire to are based on the social and political leaders of the yesteryears.
Human beings are social animals and living together in large groups naturally meant that people needed to adopt different roles and accomplish different groups. In order to give structure to society and help society grow and develop, people were naturally divided into leaders and followers. The leaders paved the way and moved from one frontier to another, directing the others, while the followers completed the tasks assigned to them and helped bring the changes about.

In a May 9, 2024 paper, Juri Opitz from the University of Zurich, along with Shira Wein and Nathan Schneider form Georgetown University, discussed the importance of linguistic expertise in natural language processing (NLP) in an era dominated by large language models (LLMs).
The authors explained that while machine translation (MT) previously relied heavily on linguists, the landscape has shifted. “Linguistics is no longer front and center in the way we build NLP systems,” they said. With the emergence of LLMs, which can generate fluent text without the need for specialized modules to handle grammar or semantic coherence, the need for linguistic expertise in NLP is being questioned.

What is leadership? A leader is a person who leads a group team or an organization. A
great leader must always have confidents in what they do.Every leader should be
mindful that the opportunity to effect meaningful change is limited by time. Every
leader must be able to move a team to action, to build coalitions, define campaigns, set
targets, and encourage networks. A leader has a personal life and a life of a leader. We
need leaders to guide us threw the good and bad times. A leader will see the future and
never try to correct the past. A leader is a person that will lead to better the community
or the nation. A leader is not born it is created. A leader can be an inspiration to a lot of
people from young to old. Some examples of great leaders are Dr. Martin Luther King,
General Colin Powell, and many more. They led the way to shape America
today.Without a leader what would the world be like?
Great leaders are good in social skills and good in debating. The social skills
know different issues that are going on, a good smile, and connected to the people. They
learn different issues by reading about it a newspaper about the world and in the place
they live in. By them knowing this they can be on point instead of being late on the
issue. A good smile would pull you in sometimes but a good smile isn’t what it seems
because it might be a cover up. If you are connected to the people you got the key to the
world. People will go all out for that one person that is trying to make a change. For an
example President Barrack Obama said "It took a lot of blood, sweat and tears to get to
where we are today, but we have just begun. Today we begin in earnest the work of
making sure that the world we leave our children is just a little bit better than the one we
inhabit today." Another way a great leader is prepared is debating. Debating is where
two people argue about an issue. To be good in debating they use the library to their

advantage to make their debate shorter and more inspiring to listen to. They would speak
more swift and calm so there listeners can understand what they are explaining or
informing about. A great leader can be anyone u know or heard of. A leader is required
to be that person that you will say he might change some things around and make it
better. A great leader must be free of allegations and other things that will bring him or
her down. A leader must stand on his or on two feet and fear no evil or mankind. A
greater leader never has a time limit. They can be working all day or all night. A great
leader want stop until his work is done.con…………….
There will always be great leaders of all-times. You will have people like
Scarface, President Barrack Obama, and Oprah. Scarface made people believe that they
can conquer the world and say at the end of the day the world is mine. President Barrack
Obama make it seems there’s nothing you can’t do. He showed people that just because
he was black that don’t mean he couldn’t be president. Last but not least Oprah Winfrey
she started off young and now she’s one of the riches people alive. She started off at a
small radio stations now she has her own network and more. She tells us “live your best
life.” A leader never knows that they are going to be a leader it just happens.Aleader
will have its eyes on fame but just change. After the hard work is done they will know
that they made a change. A great leader can work anywhere from a football field, to a
classroom, or in your community. You have the good and bad environments for great
leaders. The good is a teacher that will teach your future and will tell you can be
whatever you want to be. Some people see the bad or what you see in urban
neighborhoods. They see the money, the nice car, and the women that are what their goal
will be. A leader can be anything that will show great inspiration and leadership.

Do you wonder why there are less great leaders today? People are less concern about what goes
on today and what can be change for the future because they think you only live for today and
not think about tomorrow. Great leaders had a vision on life and they see life better for its
people, its kids and for themselves. A great leader will lead the way not knowing that are
leading. In an urban neighborhood people will take the wrong influence and take it and run with
it. The negative will lead them dead or in jail. They don’t see great leaders’ everyday so they
take the bad for good. If the young people saw great leaders that are leading there would be less
crime rates in our urban neighborhoods. In suburbs you see doctors’, lawyers, or people who got
great jobs. So there are people that guide them to be great. If there were more people that lead
our young people there would be less crime and a better nation. In the world there people have to
survive not lead. See back then they had the war to motivate them. They see older people lead
and that’s what they wanted to do. The advantage leader would show change everywhere
where’s there’s an issue. A great leader would bring change and where’sthere’s change it would
change people opinion about the world around them. It would probably bring people closer.
Where there is more fame here come the negative and people start to dislike the leader. Great
leaders have been assonated like President John F. Kennedy and Malcolm X. People would
dislike cause of the attention, the positive movement you are creating, and cause people are
looking up to you. If people start showing more leadership and take time up with the kids today
there will be a better world. If there were more leaders it would will make the world better.
The benefits of a leader are to lead and motive the present and the future
generation. A leaders has goals to accomplish and to complete, and always will love their job as
a leader.
