In September 2009, the author moved to Cork, Ireland and got a job with Apple one month later, where they learned a lot. After living in Cork for a year, they moved to Dublin for a position with HP as a dispatch agent. However, the 2008 economic crisis severely impacted Ireland and forced the author to return to Belgium. In Belgium, the author worked for multiple multinational companies, gaining customer service and logistics experience. In 2012, the author met their Spanish girlfriend in Barcelona, triggering a desire to move there. After a year of preparation including learning Spanish and visiting Barcelona frequently, in 2016 the author was ready to move again to Barcelona to seek an interesting, challenging position.

At the beginningof 2012 I metmy Spanishgirlfriendin Barcelona.Thistriggeredthe wishtomove to
to thiswonderful metropolitancity.
Aftera one year’spreparationin2016 – inwhichI rebuiltandsoldmyhouse,learned the Spanish
language andvisitedBarcelonafrequently –it’stime tomake the jumpagain.
