Carla and Sanne are 12-year-old girls with green mottos of respecting the environment and recycling, reusing, and reducing. Carla recycles batteries and paper at home but not plastic or glass, while Sanne recycles paper, plastic, and glass and sometimes batteries using separate bins. Carla takes the underground to school but not by car and is mindful of electricity use, while Sanne walks to school but sometimes takes the car and also watches her electricity usage.
