11. TYPES OF RELIGIOUS FILMS?
Judging from the films that I’ve looked out, the religion- Islam, is mostly
related to Asian films. Most Asian films have some sort of religious
aspect to it. Most of the films were old as they were released in 2002
etc. Through all the films, religion and culture comes into it. So the film
it self is shaped by culture and norms and values. One film such as
bend it like bekham, is mostly culture related. You are restricted and in
the end have to go with what you want- which sums up bend it like
bekham.
So, I’ve learned that films that have aspects of religion are also most likely
to contain cultural values.
I also found out that, there aren’t that many religious films- to do with
Islam. So our idea is more unique as it has a different plot and isn’t a
cliché.
