The group will create a music video for the song "I Want You" by Common ft. Will.I.am that depicts a man struggling to move on from a past relationship. They will show him reminiscing about his former partner in black and white scenes prompted by seeing her again. Key locations include Central London near the London Eye to reflect on past memories, and Kelsey Park near the lake to provide a romantic backdrop for his reminiscencing. The group believes their creative talents and imaginative ideas will allow them to successfully capture the powerful themes of love and longing in the song.

Ravi Zacharias said, “We have to find the back door to peoples’ hearts because the front door is heavily guarded.” Arguing on the basis of facts, reason and rationality can often lead to mere debate and sharp exchanges of opinions rather than any significant discussion and dialogue. Using cultural “tools” such as films, art, stories and music, we can more readily access the deeper thoughts and feelings of the people who we are trying to reach with the Gospel. Two interesting outreaches we have developed are; a Renaissance dinner that employs the food, story and art of Rembrandt; and Story of the Soul that employs a combination of short presentations and discussion in small groups.

3. Introduction
Part of this presentation is to inform you on the music genre, the artist, our
theme and plan. We want to deviate the actual from the original music video
and add a bit of that ‘London culture’ to it.
In my group we are all very efficient in different areas in this area which is
why I believe we can make this video as good as it can possibly be. As a
group, we have extremely creative people, fantastic time keepers and
enthusiastic characters and there can not be any better for a group creating
a music video.
4. Target Audience
One of the fundamentals of music videos is the target audience.
There is no point of making a music video without having a
audience to target, its pretty basic. For example; a song like
One Direction – What makes you beautiful, would be targeted
at young girls, aged around 12-18 simply because they lust for
this kind of music. The clothes they would be wearing would
also please the eye or have similarities to the target audience.
Our target audience is pretty tricky to figure out because this
kind of song can be for anyone who is having an affair or once in
a very intimate relationship. I wouldn’t say this music video
would be for anyone below the age of 18 simply because of its
content and the meaning, it wouldn’t really relate to anyone
who's not fully matured yet.
It wouldn’t be a wide target audience but I’m going for roughly
people aged 18-28 simply because they are most likely to be
engaged in this kind of affair.
The people this song would be targeting would obviously have
to be interested in Rap/R’n’B because that’s the genre of the
song. R’n’B is a style of music developed by African Americans
that combines blues and jazz, characterized by a strong
backbeat and repeated variations on syncopated instrumental
phrases.
5. Song Choice
We want to put across the definition of love and
what it is like to miss somebody and not being able
to move on and we believe this song would match
the meaning oh so perfectly. If you look at the
original video, you can pretty much understand
the meaning of the song which is what makes the
video so spectacular and difficult to emulate, but
we believe we can do BETTER!
One thing people obsess about today and don’t
really know the meaning of is LOVE. People are so
obsessed with finding ‘their love’ as if its
something you work for, it comes and goes and
this is what the song puts across. We believe this
song is relevant and has such a powerful meaning
that it would work really well because as a unit, we
are very imaginative and creative. Another reason
we chose it is because its very rare you see many
powerful love related hip hop songs and we as a
group fall under the Hip-Hop subculture.
‘’I've been thinking bout, I've been thinking
about
I've been thinking bout you lately
Thoughts take me to when we were close’’ – this
pretty much makes the meaning of the song so
obvious. He has clearly found it hard to move on
from the past and what kind of relationship him
and his former companion used to share.
6. Lyrics & Video
Once the love was strong
Now it's long, long gone
'cause the pain, pain now as a storm
I remained, holding on
'cause I want you, 'cause I want you
I want you, I want you
I've been thinking bout, I've been thinking about
I've been thinking bout you lately
Thoughts take me to when we were close
Addicted to your love, feel I need another dose
I know it's a feeling that should be long gone
Things seem to come up when I hear our song
Golden brown girl, it seemed so long
Since I heard your voice, where did the king go wrong?
Emotions that, that they linger on
I guess 'cause I never knew a love so strong
So many hot girls I need your warm
The taste of your mouth girl I need your warm
Good food and love I need your warm
This here was made before we were born
A dreamer so I'm a keep dreaming on
It's kind of like 'The Breakup' with Jen and Vince Vaughn
[Chorus:]
Once the love was strong
Now it's long, long gone
'cause the pain, pain now as a storm
I remained, holding on
'cause I want you, cause I want you
I want you, I want you
'cause I want you, cause I want you
I want you, I want you
They say you don't know, know, know what you got
Till what you got is gone
Yeah I write such and such, you're a lot but the feelings not as strong
We were like 2 birds that were able to fly
I try to pick the right words to say to the sky
Some days I would try but wasn't able to cry
I never been good at saying goodbye
I take a deep breath when the times is hard
When I reminisce over you, my God
I spent many years trying to be the heartthrob
I guess it's only right that I got my heart robbed
The scent of a room that reminds me of you
A hint of perfume it reminds me of you
Take a look at the moon it reminds me of you
Hope the stars and the gods align me and you
[Chorus]

7. Music Video Idea
Our music video would have to reflect the theme of the song we have come
up with many ideas on how to make that happen. As a group, we’ve had
many discussions on how to make this music video as good as we can
possibly make it, everyone jotted down their ideas and came to a conclusion.
This video is not going to be basic nor extremely advanced.
The main characters in the video will be the man who finds it hard to move
on from the girl and the girl he reminisces about. As he thinks about
here, things start to go real slow and this vision will be in Black and White. All
these thoughts and memories will be prompted by seeing her again. He is
embedded with the things they use to do when he sees her and seems to
forget he has supposedly moved on, seeing as she clearly has.
8. Location
we have many different locations but one of
the main places and where we believe the
music video will really come alive is in Central
London, preferably near the London Eye.
Why? Because at times it can be seen as a
place where people can reflect and think
about things and that’s exactly what the male
character in the music video is doing, thinking
about his former partner. Another place would
be the studios we are lucky to be using which
will be provided by the academy. We will be
using the studio for the chorus mainly when
our other male character will be lip syncing
the chorus.
When the main character is reminiscing, we
want to use Kelsey Park near the lake because
it really does give the romantic aura which is
pretty much what the music video is about.
