They visited several places including Mumbai Samachar (a Gujarati newspaper), Prime Focus (a pre-production center), and Ad Factors PR agency. They also met with Bollywood celebrity Manoj Joshi and learned about his experience in the film industry. The students experienced a 4DX movie theater, learned about the print and film editing processes, and gained insights into public relations. They concluded their trip with local experiences like riding the Mumbai trains and visiting religious sites.

A soft skills workshop was held for BBA students on October 3rd led by trainer Vipin Sarin. Students participated actively and found it beneficial according to their feedback. A poster exhibition for journalism students was observed by Professors Lalit Aggarwal and Ritu Aggarwal. CSR club held an event on October 17th to promote reducing plastic usage and conducted competitions. Several MERI students won awards in various competitions. A session on mental health was conducted by Shreya Snehi and Ritanshu Sharma. Various other events were held including a film festival, zumba classes, a marketing seminar, workshop on resume writing, media fests, and more.

Students from the National Institute of Mass Communication and Journalism visited New Delhi for a two-day study tour to see the democratic process in action at the Parliament. They toured the Parliament building and briefly interacted with an MP who shared his experiences representing his constituency. On the second day, they toured the facilities of Sahara Media and The Hive Communications, learning about their operations and technologies. They discussed the advertising industry and ethics with the CEO of The Hive Communications. The trip provided opportunities for the students to observe India's democratic institutions and media houses firsthand.

Students from semester 4 visited news offices, a television production, and a post-production studio in Mumbai as part of an educational tour. They met with journalists and editors at Zee News and Samna Newspaper. Students observed makeup and production on the set of the TV series "Veer Shivaji" and learned about post-production processes at Prime Focus studio. Street Play at Vastrapur Lake
The semester 2 students of NIMCJ performed a street play called "Jeetvu hoi to ladvu pade" at Vastrapur Lake. The street play was put on by the semester 2 students of NIMCJ to educate the public. The performance took place at Vastrapur Lake.

The National Institute of Mass Communication & Journalism's youth club organized a blood donation camp on March 23, 2012 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the 4th floor of the institute located at Shapath 1, opposite Rajpath club on S.G. Road in Ahmedabad. All were cordially invited to attend.
Holi celebrations at NIMCJ
NIMCJ will be celebrating the Hindu festival of Holi on March 18th. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to participate in traditional Holi activities in the courtyard from 2-4pm, including throwing colored powders and playing with water balloons and squirt guns. Refreshments including thandai, gujiya, and other Indian snacks will be provided.
Upanishad Ganga press note english
Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi returns to television after 20 years with 'Upanishad Ganga', a new series on Doordarshan that introduces viewers to Indian philosophy through stories based on the Upanishads. Conceptualized by Swami Tejomayananda of Chinmaya Mission, the series took 4 years to develop and features actors like Abhimanyu Singh portraying heroes from Indian history to engage viewers with profound knowledge in an entertaining way. 'Upanishad Ganga' aims to make ancient Indian thought accessible to mass audiences through the visual medium of television.
Theatre and Drama Workshop Photos Caption
Mr. Kamlesh Prajapati directed a theatre and drama workshop for students at Aek Rang training, where students practiced theatre exercises and performed street plays on topics like fighting corruption and eve teasing in Prahaladnagar Garden. The students were also awarded certificates of participation for completing the workshop.

Mumbai Educational Tour - English Press Note
- 1. Students of NIMCJ on a dive to Mumbai for Information and Education about Media Ahmedabad:-Recently, National Institute of Mass Communication and Journalism had organized an Educational Trip to Mumbai. The Media included Zee news channel, veer Shivaji serial setup, Saamana newspaper and Prime focus post production. The news editor of Zee News, Ms Nivruti Mohan explained the students about news production process, how news are edited and modelled and how to provide a finishing through graphics, animation with the help of available software, how the process of data uplink are done. Students also got an opportunity to view zee news library where they store all the needed footage that can be helpful in their near future. Next they visited Daily Saamana Newspaper where student were informed all about the working structure of saamana newspaper. How news is selected according to the policy of the newspaper. How this news selection process helps to create a distinction of it’s own in these multitude of mass mediums available. Students had an interactive session with Assistant editor of samna Atul joshi and Chief Editor of Saamana (Hindi) Prem Shukla, they informed the students about the policy of the paper and it’s day to day activities. Nimcj student got an opportunity to visit the sets of Veer Shivaji serial (broadcast on Colors), here the students saw how sets are created and the various production processes involved in a daily soap. Students had a live experience of the on field work activities of a production house. They even interacted with the serial’s Director, Production Head and lead actor of serial.
- 2. Lastly, Nimcj Students visited Prime Focus, which is one of the largest post production house of India, employing around 7000 media professionals. Here the students saw the various softwares used to polish a film in terms of sequence matching, color correction, sound correction and video effects for it’s final print release. 000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
