2. Please list any awards and extra-curricular or community activities that you are
involved in?
I am involved in my local church, Good Shepherd Baptist Church.
I am also in the process of completing my Diploma of Theology, which not only involves
academic classes, but also involves a practical experience component which requires a
certain amount of involvement in various ministries assisting others.
3. Please list any leadership positions you have held (e.g. Prefect, captain of the
sports team)
In my final year of schooling, I was the captain of a sports' house. This involved motivating
others in the same house to achieve their best.
Throughout university, I was involved in many group projects which involved taking lead of
the group, and helping to organise the workload amongst the team. This often required
management and delegation skills as others did not have the initiative required.
4. Please provide a brief summary of any relevant work experience you've had to
date.
I was employed as an Undergraduate Civil Engineer at AECOM Australia (Water and
Infrastructure Division). Some of my duties included contract administration, traffic control
assessment and management of QRA submissions.
I am currently employed part time as a Rail Labourer at Mooney's Contractors Pty Ltd. My
main duties include labour work on railway tracks, which involves supervising the team I
work with, alongside managing HR issues including timesheets.
I have also worked as an Undergraduate Mechanical Engineer at Parmalat Australia
(Industrial Performance Division). Some of my duties included monitoring quality control as
well as a specialised project requested specifically by the Director, which involved research
regarding improving the number of redundant milk bottles due to leakage (upon being
placed in a crate).

I would love the opportunity to work at Multi-disciplinary firms, particularly within your
Engineering business unit, because of Multi-disciplinary firms fantastic reputation. It would
be a privilege to work at a multinational corporation, which has such a diverse operation.
In particular, I am very interested in working in your Engineering business unit as I believe it
will give me a great deal of experience and knowledge in this field.
6. What are you hoping to achieve through the duration of ourGraduate
Program? Please outline your understanding of what working on an
engineering project site entails and why you are most suited to that role.
By undertaking Multi-disciplinary firms Graduate Program, I am hoping to grow in my career
as an Engineer, whilst contributing to the Engineering division at Multi-disciplinary firms. I
would not only like to increase in my practical skills and knowledge, but would also like the
chance to grow in management and leadership skills.
My understanding of what working on an engineering project site entails involves having the
utmost professionalism, knowing how to deal with different stakeholders, as well as being
intimately familiar with the project you are undertaking to ensure minimal disruption to the
project.
I believe I would be most suited to that role due to my attention to detail, my ability to work
and communicate with others, as well as my hard working ethic.
7. Provide an example of where you have 'dared to do things differently'in your
work, study or home. Ensure you outline both the idea and what it resulted in.
As part of my secondary schooling, I was very focused on my sports, and struggled
academically. Due to this, I purposed to apply myself in my tertiary education, which
allowed me to successfully complete two engineering degrees. This involved, particularly in
the first degree, lots of early mornings and late nights, which was a result of my discipline
and determination.
As part of my personal development, I have determined to cycle 70km per day. At this stage,
I am able to cycle 70km 3 times per week. Through this, I have gained a new level of fitness
while continuing to work towards my goal.

Structural engineering was my major at university and I enjoyed this subject the most.

completing two degrees in engineering and I have a passion for the industry. I have a desire
to grow and learn and I believe I will be an asset to the company because I am open minded
and have a hard working ethic.

I have been working as a rail labourer while studying to begin my career. Finishing my
degrees is the first step to beginning my career.
11. Tell me about a big mistake, how you dealt with it, and what you learned from
the experience.
I can’t think of a specific mistake at this time. I have made mistakes throughout my life and
the way I deal with it is by first realising that I was wrong and apologising to anyone I have
affected and then I reflect on how I can avoid making the same mistake again.
