MNIC focus..It envisages to:Provide a unique national identity number (NIN)Prepare national registrar of Indian citizens (NRIC)
Why MNIC?To act as a deterrent for future illegal  immigration. People eligible for subsidies and other benefits would have a proof Would help in countering the terrorist threats and fraudsWould become a solid proof of someone’s identity
