Unit 4 Assignment Instructions
The Multi-Genre/Modal Environment Analysis
Showcase
As a part of the Multi-Genre/Modal Environment Analysis Project, each student will
be required to give a 5-10 minute presentation to the class to tell us about their
chosen genres. Criteria that should be covered in this time are:
• Your general argument/thesis of the spatial rhetoric of the University of
Idaho campus
• A summary of introduction and expository essay
• A brief iscussion on your 5 chosen genres and why you chose them,
particularly the genre you chose that directly correlated with your major or
area of study
• A detailed discussion and presentation of the visual element you chose to
implement (this should be the highlight of the presentation)
You can discuss any additional items in your presentation or show us any number
of your genres, but these 4 criteria are required.
Projects are due the week of May 1st – May 5th in class
A presentation order will be determined by random drawing
Your project is due the day you are assigned to present
If the compilation of this project is in physical form, it will be handed in to your
instructor after your presentation. If your compilation is an online format, submit
any access information in the Dropbox on BbLearn.
