Muhammad Shanazar hails from Gujer
Khan and is currently serving as deputy
director in department of education Punjab.
He did masters in English literature in 1983.
He has written more than 450 poems on
contemporary poetry. The Dance of
Darkness, his book, was published in
December last year. Global poets’
community calls him as Poet against War.
He has got recognition from America,
France, China and Greece. Besides
teaching and poetry, he commands over
cumbersome poetic translation. He has
translated works of Jagdish Prakash which
is available as A Tempest in Silence. IPTRC
declared him Best Translator in 2012. Very
social Shanazar always loves to help
students and people. One of his best friends
is Khalid Qureshi, a police officer. Married
professor lives a happy life in Rawalpindi.
