Muhammad Ali was born Cassius Clay in 1942, and won gold at the 1960 Olympics. He became a professional boxer in 1964 and won his first title that year. Throughout his career, he fought for African American civil rights and converted to Islam. Ali was also known for refusing to serve in the Vietnam War and was a social activist. He passed away in 2016 and is considered one of the greatest boxers in history.
