2013 promises to be a pivotal year for our
fellow Orascom Development Holding
project in Switzerland, Andermatt Swiss
Alps. Culminating in the opening of its

SHOW IN DUBAI
Dubai International Boat Show is
the largest, most important and most
established event of its kind in the
region and as one of the fastest growing
leisure marine industry exhibitions in
the world, the 21st edition of the event
took place from 5th till 9th of March.
Muriya participated in the show to
showcase the now operational Jebel
Sifah marina, and the destinations itself
besides its other project Salalah Beach.
Air Arabia announced the increase in
frequency of flights to Salalah from
Sharjah. Effective 8 May, the airline
will offer three flights per week, an
addition of one flight to the existing
schedule. The new flight will depart
on Wednesdays.

continue to further expand our
network in the Arab world and beyond,

In the inaugural fishing challenge
organized by the Jebel Sifah Marina, 14
teams tested their skills and vied to haul in
the biggest catch. A total of 50 contestants,
including a team from Holland, competed
as per the IGFA (International Game
Fishing Association) rules, with the
support of the MGFA (Muscat Game
Fishing Association).
Ray Montoya clinched the first spot with
a 7.4kg grouper in the IGFA category
while Hani Macki and Mazin Al Asfoor
landed a 6kg dorado and 5.2kg hammour
respectively. While the teams were very
competitive, it was the fun of the sport and
good spirits that were the highlight of the
competition.
29 year old, Ali Ahmed Yosuf has been
with Muriya as the office boy since 2009
and has been exceptional in his work. Ali
in his years of service has always gone that
extra mile to make things happen.
He has earned a name for being prompt
and finishing a task to perfection. He is

An overnight stay at Bandar Khairan was
arranged by Muriya for it’s staff. The event
was an occasion to spend time together,
develop more inter-personal skills and
get competitive with some games and
challenges while camping on the beach.
Evening saw the team around a bonfire,
having a meal, sharing stories and dancing
the night away. The next day was action
packed with games like tug-of-war and
kayaking and later a visual treat with
the dolphins on the boat trip back. It is
moments like these that bring the Muriya
