Takashi Igarashi from JISA is running for the position of Regional Vice Chair for Asia Pacific within WITSA for the years 2012-2014. WITSA has 20 member countries in the Asia Pacific region including Australia, Japan, India, and others. As Regional VC, Takashi proposes promoting communication and collaboration among members to facilitate platforms for trade and investment and to strengthen the regional ICT industry's voice. He also proposes leveraging WITSA's relationship with ASOCIO, whose members include most WITSA Asia Pacific members, to potentially bring in new WITSA members from countries that are currently only ASOCIO members.
