The Good
- Funny and kind hearted teacher
- Good use of humor to describe geography
- Fun and engaging review games

The Bad
- Assignments range from challenging to impossible
- Bringing your 80 pound textbook can make or break
your grade
- You might have to ask Mr.Ray for more specific
instructions on an assignment
- Lack of study guides makes studying for tests overly
tedious and annoying
Mr.Rays class is kind of like an 1980’s arcade game. The first time you attempt it, you fail
horribly, the second time you focus harder and you still fail horribly, the third time you’ll put
your head down, lock your feet into the ground and say: “ I can do this “. Then you will fail
again. If you wish to survive in Mr.Rays’s you must go above and beyond. This is not a class
were you can earn amazing grades with just a forth of your effort. It’s a matter of concentration,
effort, and bringing your textbook everyday. ( You must also be sure to take notes during the
PowerPoint’s, for there are no study guides in Mr. Ray’s class. ) Yes, having a challenging class
may be a good idea but is it really worth studying for five hours to get a 65 slapped in your face?
Fortunately Mr.Ray manages to break up the frustration every now and then with his wide variety
of cleverly inserted jokes. ( some of them might make you laugh while taking notes, hindering
your performance.) He has a funny method of comparing countries to people when discussing
wars ( and bores ). After you leave Mr.Ray’s class, you might smile and stop to appreciate on
how not all teachers have lost their humor, in fact: Few teachers manage to capture the whimsical
style that Mr.Rays class so effortlessly expresses. Yet, the steep learning curve keeps the class
from reaching its maximum potential. If you’re smart enough you might be able to overlook the
difficulty, but if you say you earned those A’s no problem your just making yourself look stupid.
The class is enjoyable and fun, just be sure to bring your thinking cap, that’s right, all of them.

Collar Neck Kid gives this teacher a 7.8..... out of 10. Thanks for reading.
