Geography in the Mountain States Mountain States The Mountain states include the states Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana. The Rocky Mountains are stretched from Alaska, to New Mexico. The Mountain states has a high elevation. The Rockies Mountains are one of the best sights in the U.S.A..
People from the Mountain States. Some of the first people in the Mountain  states were the hunters from the Fremont culture. Also the cliff-dwelling Anasazi were there. The Shoshone-speaking Ute lived in eastern Utah and western Calarodo. People from the Mountain states outnumber all the other U.S. regions combined. By the 21st century, the Mountain states were the fastest growing region in terms of population.
