Seng Wong Beo in Singapore was founded by Reverend Swee Oi to provide a place for poor people to pray, as there were no temples for them previously. It was built during the Qing Dynasty.
Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island in Hong Kong rises over 2,330 feet above sea level. It was discovered in 1924 and built next to the largest outdoor bronze Buddha statue, Tien Tian Buddha.
