MOODLE COURSES
If you log into Moodle but don’t see your courses, the
course may not be open to students. Be sure to check
again after the first day of your class.
If you still don’t see your class in your Moodle page,
check Empower to make sure that you are indeed
enrolled in this class.
If you find that you are not enrolled into the class,
contact the registrar’s office at
registrar@lifepacific.edu or visit the registrar’s office
during their office hours.
SUBMITTING YOUR ASSIGNMENTS
Submit all assignments on time. Your professors can
hide the assignment links by their due dates. You may
not be able to submit your assignments past the due
date or deadline.
Make sure you click on the “submit” buttons or links.
You should get a confirmation indicating that you
submitted your assignment.
Make sure you know the file formats that your
professors will accept (.doc, .docx). Some professors
prefer the .doc files instead of PDF files.
POSTING INTO THE DISCUSSION BOARDS
Some courses may require you to participate in
the discussion forums. Discussion forums may be
part of your participation points. Make sure you
know what is required of you when it comes to
posting into the forums.
Some courses may have deadlines for your initial
prompts or replies. Make sure you take note of
these deadlines.
Some discussion posts require minimum number
of words or citations. Make sure you are aware of
these requirements.
Using the course outline, check if there are
discussion forum rubrics from your professors.
This guide will help you determine how
substantive or detailed your posts should be and
the required frequency or how often should you
post during the week.
GRADES
Check your gradebook to determine if you have
missing assignments.
If you have missing assignments, be sure to submit
them as soon as possible. Find out how many
points per day are subtracted from the total points
assigned for these assignments.
MOODLE & YOUR MOBILE DEVICE
Make sure you have the Moodle app and NOT your
LPU app in your mobile device. The LPU app is not
connected to your Moodle app.
You can check several items through the Moodle
app including your grades, discussion posts and
replies, messages, etc.
Refrain from submitting your assignments or
posting your discussion posts through your mobile
phone to avoid inadvertently uploading a wrong
file or posting an incomplete discussion prompt
or reply.
MOODLE MAINTENANCE
Pay attention to Moodle banners that indicate
upcoming “down time” or Moodle maintenance or
updates. Take note of the date and time when
LPU Moodle will be down.
Refrain from submitting your assignments or
posting into your discussion boards during these
down times.
MOODLE HELP
Submit a MOODLE HELP TICKET when and if you
are having issues with your Moodle account.
You can also email: lpumoodle@lifepacific.edu if
you have questions or concerns with your Moodle
account.
