This document discusses strategies for empowering both parents and speech-language pathologists (SLPs) in communication therapy. It proposes developing a "translation tool" to help SLPs explain technical terminology to parents in simpler terms to overcome barriers to understanding. Examples are given of coaching parents as the "star player" rather than the clinician, and focusing on abilities rather than deficits. The tool would define terms for parents from a non-clinical perspective. The group seeks discussion of how the tool could facilitate real partnerships between families and SLPs.

2) Audiences are divided by occupation (social grade), attitudes (psychographics), location (geodemographics), age, and gender to shape content to appeal to specific groups.

Regulation of advertising takes place through the ASA and OFCOM. The ASA reviews ads to ensure they are suitable and do not cause harm or offense, with rules around children, shock tactics, and unsafe practices. OFCOM is the communications regulator that ensures high quality TV and radio programming appealing to diverse tastes, while protecting viewers from harmful material. Both organizations investigate complaints and can ban ads found to breach their codes, such as a Durex condom ad deemed inappropriate for children to view.
The EE mobile network advert features a conga line of people celebrating new network features explained by actor Kevin Bacon. Shot during the summer, the advert uses techniques like bandwagon and celebrity endorsement to get people excited about joining EE's network. EE is the largest mobile operator in the UK, serving 28 million customers under various brand names. The analysis finds the advert employs techniques like bandwagon, plain folk, and ethos through Bacon to position EE's network as fun and accessible for ordinary people.
This document discusses different narrative styles and advertising techniques:
1) A realist narrative aims to faithfully represent everyday reality without dramatization, while an anti-realist narrative uses surreal ideas and special effects not found in real life.
2) Animation is a technique that can be used to create engaging ads on a low budget through the use of colors and movement.
3) Documentaries tell a story and Nokia used this style to show the impact of screens on our lives from movies to TV to computers to phones.
4) "Talking heads" ads feature people discussing a product to sell it in a neat, professional way using actors delivering scripted lines.

2) It explains how documentaries can be used in advertising by telling a story, as shown in a Nokia ad about the impact of screens.
3) Talking head ads are described as using people to talk about a product in an effort to seem genuine, like an Oral-B ad with different customers praising the product.
4) An Opel ad warns about texting

The document contrasts realist and anti-realist narratives. A realist narrative faithfully represents everyday reality for middle or lower classes without idealization, as seen in the Jordans Cereal advert showing wildlife. An anti-realist narrative is not based on real life situations but rather surreal ideas and dreams, using CGI and effects like a scene where a Churchill dog is talking.

Research can be defined as systematically investigating a topic to discover new facts or information. There are two main types of research: primary research involves collecting original data, while secondary research uses existing information from outside sources. The document then provides examples of qualitative and quantitative research methods. Qualitative research aims to understand opinions and motivations through methods like interviews, while quantitative research uses statistical analysis to measure trends from sample data. Finally, several specific research terms and organizations are defined, such as RAJAR, BARB, ABC, SEO, Google Analytics, and IPSO/MORI.

Marley has dreams that predict the future and his dreams are becoming more frightening. He finds himself in dangerous situations based on his prophetic dreams. The story follows Marley as he tries to prevent his nightmarish dreams from coming true.
This document compares film and digital formats for photography and video editing. It discusses that film has higher resolution than early digital cameras but digital provides better color accuracy. It then covers various digital camera resolutions and their resulting image sizes and print quality. The document also discusses aspect ratios, standard definition vs high definition video, capture formats, online vs offline editing, linear vs non-linear editing, and the replacement of tapes with hard drives for digital storage.
Single-camera productions have some key advantages: directors believe it appears more real to audiences, improving engagement; it is cheaper and easier to set up than multi-camera; lighting can be tailored for each shot. However, single-camera can be more time-consuming due to needing to repeat shots from different angles. Multi-camera productions allow filming from multiple angles simultaneously, saving time but requiring more cameras, equipment, and crew coordination. Both approaches have merits depending on the production's needs and resources.
