Social media is negatively impacting many people's body image, as curated profiles portray unrealistic standards of beauty that are unattainable for most. The mirror's imagined insults reflect the self-doubt and insecurity some feel when comparing their actual appearance to the filtered and posed photos prevalent online. This disconnect between reality and social media portrayals can lead to feelings of inadequacy, low self-esteem, and even disorders like dysmorphia.
