Amphitheater of tarragona
The amphitheater of Tarraco is a Roman building built very close to the sea, behind
the wall of the city of Tarraco, capital of the Roman province Hispania Citerior
Tarraconensis. It is one of the locations of the place Patrimony of the Humanity
called «Archaeological Ensemble of Tarraco»
Port Aventura
PortAventura World is a leisure complex, located in the municipalities of Vilaseca
and Salou in Tarragona. With 5 million visitors during the year 2017, it is one of the
main attractions of the Costa Dorada, with PortAventura Park, the most visited
theme park in Spain and the sixth in Europe.
The complex, which has been expanded several times since its inception, consists
of two theme parks (PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land), a water park
(PortAventura Caribe Aquatic Park), a golf course (Mediterránea Beach & Golf), five
thematic hotels of 4 stars and one of 5.
Mountains of Montserrat
Montserrat is considered the most important and significant mountain in Catalonia.
It is located 30 km from the center of Barcelona between the regions of Anoia, Baix
Llobregat and Bages.
On this mountain is the Benedictine monastery
and sanctuary of Montserrat, dedicated to the
Virgin of Montserrat.
Cathedral of Girona
Is the greatest Christian temple of the bishopric of Girona and the province of the
same name.
During the Muslim occupation between the years 715 and 785
it was transformed into a mosque.
Monastery of Santes Creus
The Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Santes Creus is one of the jewels of
Catalan medieval art and is located in the village of Santes Creus.
It is currently the only Monastery of the Cistercian Route that has no monastic life.
It was created in the XII.
Park Güell
It is a public park with gardens and architectural elements located in the upper part
of the city of Barcelona, on the southern slope of Mount Carmel, which belongs to
the Collserola mountain range.
The park's best-known monument is the lizard.
Cathedral of Barcelona
It is the gothic cathedral of Barcelona, the seat of the
Archbishop of Barcelona. The cathedral was built during
the thirteenth to fifteenth centuries in the same place
where there was a Romanesque cathedral, and even
before, a Paleo-Christian church.
“Sagrada familia”
It is a catholic basilica located in the city of Barcelona.
It is one of the best known examples of Catalan modernism and a unique building
in the world, which has become a symbol of the city.
It is the most visited monument in Catalonia.
It was created by Gaudí, it isn’t yet finished.
“La rambla”
It is an emblematic promenade in Barcelona that runs
between Plaça de Catalunya, the city's hub
of the city, and the Port Vell in Barcelona.
“The Montjuïc fountain”
It is the fountain with effects of different lights and music,
they are from the National Palace to the Plaza de
España (Barcelona).
The fountain was built in 1929 , when in Barcelona was the
International Exposition by engineer Carles Buïgas and
Sans in the place where the four columns of Josep Puig i
Cadafalch were located, demolished in 1928.
Marcket of Boqueria
The Mercado de San José, popularly known as La Boquería,
is a municipal market that is located on the Rambla de
Barcelona. Besides being a place where you can buy all
kinds of fresh produce, it is also a tourist attraction.
It has more than 300 post offering a wide variety of local
and exotic products.
Arc of triumph
The Arc de Triomphe (in Catalan: Arc de Triomf)? It is a monument located at the
confluence of the Paseo de Lluís Companys, the Paseo de San Juan and the Ronda
de San Pedro, in the city of Barcelona (Spain). It was designed by the architect José
Vilaseca as the main entrance to the Universal Exhibition of Barcelona in 1888.
Camp Nou
The Camp Nou hosts the first football matches by teams of the Club since
September 1957.
The new stadium of Barça replaced the old field of Les Corts, which although had a
capacity of 48,000 spectators (after several extensions) was small with the great
expansion of Barça fans experienced in the late forties.
CosmoCaixa
CosmoCaixa Barcelona is a science museum belonging to the Obra Social of "la
Caixa" located in Barcelona. It was inaugurated in 2004 after the remodeling of its
predecessor, the Science Museum of Barcelona, inaugurated in 1981.
Museum of chocolate
The Chocolate Museum is a private museum in the city of Barcelona, Spain. Owned
by the Guild of Pastry of Barcelona dedicated exclusively to chocolate. Its director
is Paco Gil Carmona.
The museum opened its doors for the first time in the year 2000, as a small
company.
