My experience as a Researcher at the Institute for Ecopreneurship, University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, provided me with valuable experience in bioink preparation, encompassing synthesis, bioprinting, chemical characterization, and biological testing. Prior to that, as an Additive Manufacturing Specialist at the University of Tartu, I was involved in the entire 3D printing process, from design and slicing to printing, repair, and maintenance. I also enjoyed mentoring master's students, further developing my communication and leadership skills.
My earlier role as a Senior Project Engineer at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology involved working with polymeric medical devices, specifically focusing on parylene coating for implantable devices. This role honed my skills in chemical vapor deposition (CVD), surface and mechanical studies, chemical synthesis, and various characterization techniques including FTIR, DSC, TGA, and DMA, as well as biological testing. I also gained experience in 3D printing for cranioplasty and other biomedical applications, and enjoyed mentoring visiting researchers and assisting PhD and master’s students.
I hold a Master of Technology in Rubber Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, where my research focused on the synthesis and characterization of castor oil-extended modified natural rubber. I also have a Bachelor of Technology in Polymer Science & Engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology. My academic background, combined with my practical experience, has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of materials science, 3D printing technologies, and their applications.
