This document provides information on the "Culture & Civilization" module offered at the School of Architecture, Building & Design. The 5-credit, 18-week module introduces students to Western and Eastern culture and civilizations from prehistoric times to present through lectures, tutorials, and self-study. Students will learn about archaeological discoveries, ancient monuments, artworks, philosophies, and leaders. The module aims to describe the development of human civilizations, compare Eastern and Western cultures, and develop students' research and presentation skills. Assessment includes formative feedback to guide students' research as well as summative evaluations.
